Per John Canzano of the Oregonian Oregon has interviewed at least 8 so far. 5-6 while Mullens was in Texas and a few more since traveling to NY.

I'm thinking it's more an issue with grades or test scores. The class is no where full. They will be taking 10 more kids so I'm thinking they are letting him decommit rather than say he doesnt have the grades.
I can see USC getting some serious love from recruits the next month with the season they are having.The coaching seems to be solidified and there's a chance they finish in the top 6 .

Yes their class should/could break top 10 even better with a curb stomping of Penn St....

I can see that easy. Lots went to Oregon when they were playing well and if they can stay out west their families have an easier time going to visit and they would come play USC or UCLA every year.

Well our last coaching search didn't turn out to be that hard. From reports it amounted to Petersen's agent calling UW to inform them he was interested and wanted to talk, followed by a flight to Boise by Woodward and our current AD Cohen, and a handshake. Kind of the easiest possible path for finding a head coach ever. Yeah, ok they 'interviewed' a few others...

According to a lot of posters in Husky Nation, recruiting isn't that big of a deal. Of course I just shake my head when I read those post.

I was born and raised there (Enumclaw) but I was doing my time in the army as soon as I left high school and from there to Alaska. I couldn't imagine living in the Puget Sound area these days. South King County has become a giant shit hole not to mention the place is full of libs.

There's some good people in there and there's also the fair weather fans. A lot of ex Washington football players in that group including one of the Huards, coaches wives, Tyee Club members, staff writers from sites like 247, Scout, Rivals, etc ... even a few peeps from Don James staff post in there.
