How did Oregon fall so fall so far down? I know we all (except oregon fans) saw that they were starting to decline but this drop is incredible. How do you keep your coach after this?

lots of injuries. young players. change of schemes and coaches. 3 of these losses were by 3 points.

lol. I don't know . If your teams 5-7 do you really want to see them play more ? wouldn't you want the season to end as soon as possible?

For me, it would depend on why the team was 5-7. If they were 5-7 because they just sucked, then I wouldn't want them playing in a bowl game.

But, if they were 5-7 because they were a young, developing team, I'd want the extra practices to start getting them ready for the next season.

I think it was like 3 of the 4 5-7 teams won their bowls last year. plus gives more proactices.

Bingo. It's the practices that are the key.

Every team that makes a bowl gets 15 more chances to get more work in for next year as well as prep for that bowl. It's a huge edge over all the teams that do not get that extra work time.

Practice is practice. Every chance to work on fundamentals helps. Particularly with a team that only wins 5 games. They have all kinds of need to just get better with the basics whether the schemes change or not.

This weeks PAC 12 Power rankings are out. USC was #5 last week. Beat the #4 team in the country and stays #5 in the conference, also beat #2. lol. They moved up in the overall college rankings but not in thier own conference. They should just change it to standings not power rankings.

About time someone writes and article that has some brains behind it....and I'm highly sick of the Oklahoma could sneak into the playoffs because now they are the only other team outside of Alabama that could be undefeated in their conference.

WSU hasn't gotten any love nationally. Heck Penn State has gotten more press.

I know we aren't making the playoffs nor advocating for a spot but it drives me nuts listening to the pundits talking about Oklahoma should get in if they finish the Big 12 undefeated cause you can't leave an undefeated conference champion out..then I'm like, if we beat Colorado, UW and most likely Utah our resume is better than Oklahoma's. I get it we lost to Eastern and Boise, people need to realize the cloud over the school and players for those two games and then the cloud reappeared for the ASU and Oregon State game. Every game the Cougs have played where their minds weren't on the outside stuff they have been an upper echelon team, not elite but every bit as good as Wisconsin, Penn State or any of the other overrated top 10 teams.

I still UW is more talented and deserves a higher ranking but as of now we have a better resume than 20th in the nation. Oklahoma has one good loss, but they haven't beaten 1 single good team, just like us..why is there like was 12 spots in between us. I guess I have a ton of Dawgs fans and if you guys beat us the nation will think it's nothing even though Alabama has yet to beat one team that was playing well enough to be top 20.

Looks like USC picked up a commitment from 4 star QB Jack Sears from San Clemente High School (the same school that produced Sam Darnold). He had originally committed to Duke. He is a dual threat QB like Darnold too.

He also had offers from Florida St., North Carolina, Tennessee, UCLA and several others.

He had stated he would be making his commitment when the season was over and they got knocked out on Friday when his school got destroyed by Camas. I would expect something soon.

Yeah, I'm sure they end up winning it all. Happy for my daughter that Sumner is in the elite 8. Another chance for Wedington to shine. They face a solid Woodinville team this week though. And would have to face Camas (probably) in the final 4.
