To me it's more about the direction of the game. As far as competition goes, if something is an advantage then eventually everyone will do it eventually, it becomes a wash and all that changes is the game itself. So the question should be if that is what is wanted for the game. But most people are only worried about who is doing what and when, so real talk on the topic is taboo.

As far as Saban and rule changes go with people who want to call him a cry baby, can't adapt or whatever - those people will eventually get what's coming to them.
