WSU friend told me they heard ESPN has been reserving rooms all over pullman for weekend that Oregon goes over Sept 20th. I had heard rumors they really want to get to Pullman for a game due to the flag. its early and WSU could start 3-0 though I doubt that would get them in the rankings.
also this weekend is Clemson vs Florida State. Miami @ Neb, Fl@ Bama.
I told them they do this just in case and do it at a few cities each week. they are convinced game day will be in Pullman. Silly cougs.

Not really feeling CGD would go to Pullman for that game considering those other choices, but you never know.

But if they do, they might as well just keep all the gear instate because I think it's very likely they'll be at UW for the Stanford game on Sept 27th.

Pat Forde @ Yahoo Sports-- The programming pom-pom wavers at CBS and ESPN don’t want to hear it. Paul Finebaum’s collection of crazies doesn’t want to hear it. The “SEC! SEC! SEC!” chanters don’t want to hear it.

But hear this: The Pac-12 should be the premier conference in college football in 2014. To quote Jim Morrison, the West is the best.

In a watershed year when access to the national title is broader than ever, Larry Scott’s league has three important things going for it:

• The deepest pool of proven coaches it has ever had.

• The finest collection of quarterbacks in the nation. By a wide margin.

• The toughest schedules anywhere, in a year when strength of schedule (allegedly) will matter more than ever.

The combination may not yield a national champion, but it almost certainly will yield a College Football Playoff participant – and if things break right, possibly even two. Which could cause some folks south of the Mason-Dixon Line to threaten secession once again.

Naw. Not sure he's the best option once we hit PAC play, but since Miles is suspended at least for Hawaii, Linquist is the guy for now. I'm cool with this move. In coach Pete we trust.

And it's not like Jeff was some slouch in High School:

Finished career at Mercer Island H.S. - Seattle WA, with 6,061 passing yards and 2,520 rushing yards ... as a senior, completed 141 of 255 passes for 1,916 yards and 22 touchdowns, with just seven interceptions ... also rushed for 826 yards and 12 scored on 147 carries ... helped lead Islanders to an 8-3 record and a berth in the state playoffs as a senior ... the KingCo 3A/2A Offensive Player of the Year and first-team all-league QB in 2011 ... also named first-team Associated Press 3A all-state ... named MVP of the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl ...
