PAC 12 refs just screwed Washington over on a non penalty call WOW

Welcome to the PAC12. It's not just a conference. It's an adventure!
It wasn't that bad. It happened in between plays and they got the call right. It just may have took away a fake attempt is all. Who knows if Petersen actually has them snap the ball anyways?

The adventure was the the phantom offensive PI call to negate a Bruin TD!

Took an outstanding TD play away from the young WR!

I'm just glad it didn't come back to haunt us in the end.

I assume you're talking about the 4th down in which UW was shifting into some kind of fake punt. What happened with that? It looked like the ref stopped the game, and then called a delay of game because the play clock ran out while they were trying to figure their shit out. I'd say maybe I missed whatever happened because I was a little drunk, but I know I wasn't the only one in the stadium who was confused.

It was a mistake by the refs no doubt but a dead ball mistake none the less. Yes, they thought your Dubbs had too many players on the field or had an illegal substitutions but the delay was called after they corrected themselves and reset the ball and to me had nothing to do with the previous game stoppage.

It was unfortunate, however they had plenty of time to get their play in as with any other play.

PAC12 refs on that call fucked up as bad as the Ute who spiked the ball two yds before the end zone. It was one of the worst calls by a ref I've seen and we of course are tortured weekly by the PAC refs, so that's saying something. Even Pierra was left in utter shock by the refs doing that. He had WTF written all over face over how bad their a discrace to his profession.

Not to mention the multiple blantant holds by UCLA Olineman that the refs ignored all night long. It just leaves you numb like witnessing a war crime.

Puhleaze. They fucked up what was obviously the Huskies planning to go for it on a 4th. They utterly fucked up and forced us to punt no matter what.

Mora was grinning from ear to ear as he yelled at his players to expect a fake punt if Shaq lined up like that again. Fuck u PAC refs. Burn in hell.

The one positive thing you can say about Pac-12 refs is that they are consistent.

Albeit, it's consistently bad.

Well it's nice that you think it was no big deal because it was a dead ball fuck up, but I'm not sure how that excuses it. Trick plays/fakes only work if they catch the other team off guard and clearly the refs fucked that up so bad that THEY took away what the Huskies were trying to do. Ultimately that's not what lost us the game, but it was still egregious and I think everyone else not a Bruin fan would recognize that.

Yeah the ACC had the field and the PAC had the replay in that one.

:wtf2: THREE offensive PIs? None really looked like it to me.

Especially the last one

I thought they were all fine. The receivers were drunk last night. And the last one I knew was coming as soon as he came into the picture lol.

I had no problem with the refs last night.

Welcome to the PAC12. It's not just a conference. It's an adventure!

Tru Dat RD...speaking of the PAC game calling yesterday I have one.

1 bad call is hard to "zero in on" as my Beavers continue to slide into the abyss this year. Mannion drops back into the pocket and attempts to hit a player with a short pass on the outside behind the line of scrimmage, but clearly ahead of Mannion's deep drop. DE raise his arms and blocks the pass attempt within 3 yards of Mannion's arm action. Ball is batted backwards and no whistle is blown and the incomplete pass is "live" and considered a "backwards pass". Beavers eventually recovered the ball some 15 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Well that's a drive killer for sure.

"Upon further review" the replay officials saw no conclusive evidence the ball was not a backwards pass. It was a bad call in my OP.

Didn't really effect the end result, but things in the PAC have to be addressed in the future. Just to many crappy calls in almost every game this year. Far more than one sees in other conference games.

True, that was a horrible call but it was nowhere near as bad as taking a touchdown off the board for the Cougs when Galvin made a block. Or how Brown got ejected for less of a hit on a receiver than your DB did to Mayle. They are horrendous all around and every game we had played where the Pac12 crew has been in (outside of SC) they have just made horrible calls or no calls, not just against us but just horrible calls in general.

They screwed up, but if that was among the most screwed up ever? Its baffling heck I thought the unsportsmanlike conduct after the game winning TD v BYU was 1000 times worse and that only makes the top 10.

Did I say it was no big deal or do you just want to tell me what I think now? :L

Geez some of you dawg fans act like some sore losers at times because you know Wiz, I never excused that call either!

Now maybe I downgraded it a bit by comparison to the called back Bruin TD but mainly because MVPuig came on here acting like that call cost you guys the game.

So, I talk about the dead ball flag and the called back Bruin TD, then DayMan asks a question, so I answer it and somehow there's all this!

Just as you put it Wiz, those type of plays need to be a surprise and personally I don't think Petersen would have snapped the ball if they didn't see what they wanted pre-snap after the shift.

IMO, the game situation pretty much set up a fake punt expectation, especially considering your HC, so I don't think the Bruins would have been fooled.

Geez, even those dumb shit announcers were guessing at it before the shift!

Maybe, just maybe, they saved your asses and kept you guys in the game by not letting you guys go through with it. :noidea:

By the way, being fucked by the refs is when an actual game changing play is executed and then called back like the offensive PI call they screwed up and not some would of, could of should of scenario!

On that called back TD, the Bruins wide out never even touches the defender yet the TD is yanked.

Hell I even said the dead ball flag was no doubt a mistake and unfortunate but even you downgrade it in the end, so what the hell brother?

Why all the grief?
