Raiders logic:

According to Raiders coach Dennis Allen, playing out of position is why Woodley was injured so much. The weight he had to shed to play outside linebacker with the Steelers was the root, Allen suggested in an interview with NFL.com.

Adding to the absurdity, Allen directly compared Matt Schaub to Peyton Manning.
"We have a quarterback now that's on par with quarterbacks in this division." Allen said Tuesday at the NFL Annual Meeting

Yup... My money is on Blount. MJD wants $3mil/yr which is roughly 4x the salary of Bell. But more importantly, MJD wants to be a starter. He's using Woodley's cap space clearance in June (~$8mil) against PIT. It's smart, since he is doing what's in his best interest. But it likely wont land him in the Burgh.

Agreed but things can get silly.

I'm still wondering why LSH isn't in the mix? He should be getting close to being fully recovered and I haven't heard a peep about the possibility of resigning him?

Steelers GM Kevin Colbert acknowledged that Markus Wheaton had offseason surgery on his finger. While he didn't say which one, it's probably safe to assume that it's one of the two which Wheaton broke during the year, which slowed his rookie season. While Wheaton's production struggled, he also never took plays off and is a hard worker by all accounts. Markus will likely line up in Emmanuel Sanders' old spot so with a healthy pair of hands, he should be better this season. Surgery on his finger can only help.
