I made that last week. Here's my version:

One box of Zararain's jambalaya mix, half a cup of extra rice, one small can of plain tomato sauce, not quite one can of extra water (above and beyond what the instructions on the box call for), one whole package of smoked sausage, and a whole ring of cocktail shrimp, with tails taken off and the body cut in half (to get a small piece of shrimp in almost every bite). I add the shrimp at the end, with maybe 3 min to go, since they are pre-cooked. And I add more cayenne pepper at the table.

The whole process takes me about half an hour, and one pot lasts me a week.

that's sound good, I may do that and add crawfish. My seafood place sells tails already cooked and shelled.
