Well we talked about the trade on the other thread so...

I thought I would start an official Nick Foles thread...

I always thought Nick Foles and Case Keenum had a lot in common...

I like getting Case back after he was plucked off our practice squad.

He could be a very capable backup behind Nick...

Foles to Cooper or White a time or two deep would open up the underneath stuff for Tavon and Cookie!

So I think Ive figured out the big change in Foles game from his pro bowl season to last year. On his pro bowl season, Foles got sacked 8.1% of the time. During his average season last year, he got sacked 2.8% of the time. Both seasons led to a winning record but he seemed to perform better when he didn't force the situation.

The other thing of note is that Foles has yet to start more than 11 games in a season. QB depth still might matter

The Rams couldn't afford to keep 4 QB's on the roster last year and tried to hide Case on the PS.

Now it took a 7th rounder (2016 I believe) to get him back but ..

I'm thinking with Nick, Austin & Case we are set with our QB starter and
QB depth...

I think the Rams are going to hold on to Foles and draft a QB at some point in the draft. Foles will be a free agent after 2015. It will be interesting to see what happens if both Kevin White and Marcus Mariota are both there at #10!

If MM is there at 10 we can just call Chip and take the rest of his picks lol. I really hope If Oakland goes WR they go White and Cooper falls to us.

I honestly see no earthly way that Mariota is available at 10. There is far too much talk about the kid for him to fall.

I can't agree with this more. Every year there seems to be those 2 or 3 players I absolutely fall in love with in the fall and Cooper is the only one who got to me this year. White blew up the combine but Coop is the total package.

I will put a disclaimer on my Cooper love though. I hate how hard it is to watch film on WRs because the highlight reels don't follow them in their routes a lot of the time. It's great that he can make people miss in the open field but I'd like to see more footwork on routes.

Another notable difference: no DeSean Jackson last year (although he did get Maclin back). They had some issues along the OL as well last year. Sproles had a big year, but putting him on the field instead of using McCoy all 3 downs kinda telegraphed their intentions as well.

It is entirely conceivable to take Cooper or White at 10 and then pick up Collins or another of the O-lineman in the second like the Missouri kid the Rams are falling for. They could also pick up Grassu in the third and the big tackle from Penn State in the fourth. So we could have a pretty nice draft this year.

Fisher and Snead are playing for their jobs and not to make the next guy look good so there will be no move for Mariota. I honestly don't think they'd take him if he was there at this point.

MM will be long gone I believe especially if Chip Kelly has anything to say about it. Kelly wants MM badly. We will be extremely lucky if MM falls which I totally doubt. Besides, our QB situation just got way better than it has been a while.

I agree with this. I think Fisher and Snead are feeling the pressure a little bit. Especially since Bradford made them look rather bad when not restructuring his deal after being out for 2 straight seasons. I'm glad they did tho, it shows moxie on their part and shows they had a back up plan. I would have never thought yesterday would have happened but it did and now we can start over! It's a good day to be a rams fan.

Akeem was a stud at UCLA however played Safety or CB...
