Having seen every start Foles made, here is my observation. 1st year as a starter he gets away with a lot of throws he should have never made. His receivers made him look All-Pro. Because everything goes right the following year he takes more chances. Makes a lot of throws he should have never made. Tried to force the issue rather than throw the ball away and live another day. He has a big arm but needs to be patient and take what the defense gives him. Took too many chances in year 2. I still believe this was because he had such a good year 1. He is big, tough but not very mobile. He is also apparently a good field leader.

Also just saw that the Redskins will take MM is available at 5. Truth or getting teams to bite so they can trade down.

They want picks for sure and move back.

I'm thinking the latter, looking to reclaim some picks lost in the RG3 deal

Can you imagine RG3's ego and the mess that would create there. Guess they would trade RG3

I think the Rams are going to hold on to Foles and draft a QB at some point in the draft. Foles will be a free agent after 2015. It will be interesting to see what happens if both Kevin White and Marcus Mariota are both there at #10!

Foles is only a stop gap QB for the Rams? Will 2015 be similar to the Vikings where they signed McNabb and drafted Ponder only to start McNabb at the beginning of the season?

Foles should be the man going forward. He's not elite, but he's above average and should be effective. There isn't much at QB that is reliable beyond the top 3-4 in the draft (and maybe not beyond the top 2), maybe the Rams add someone in the middle rounds as a developmental guy. Foles is young and talented, so the Rams really need a reliable vet backup more than another young guy at this point.

Unless of course they don't like Foles and only did the trade to get Bradford out and use Foles as a stop gap. He will be due a sizable raise after the season, so that could be an issue as well.

It is entirely conceivable to take Cooper or White at 10 and then pick up Collins or another of the O-lineman in the second like the Missouri kid the Rams are falling for.

Mitch Morse? There's no MU O-linemen worth taking in the top half of the 2nd.

The other thing of note is that Foles has yet to start more than 11 games in a season. QB depth still might matter

Why is EVERYONE (not just here but on Facebook too) making this point? His rookie year was 2012. He did not see the field for the first 8 games that year because of Vick resurgence. He then ONLY played in mop up duty in the other 8 games. In 2013, Vick won the job out of camp but then HE got hurt. Foles did not see the field until week 3 and then he missed ONE GAME with a concussion in the last 13. It was not until last year when he legit got hurt that he missed any real time. This even goes back to Arizona. He missed 2 games in 3 seasons there.

DUDE IS 6'6" and 246 POUNDS..... HE CAN TAKE THE POUNDING!!

Yeah that's Snyder dreaming someone might give up the farm for his 5th pick. The Redskins have so many needs and to have RG3 and MM on the roster makes no sense.

Foles is a big QB of whom I always thought we should draft a big guy. Now we have him and me thinks he is going to be our QB for the foreseeable future if he stays healthy.

You would think so?

Weren't a lot of people in here all goo goo ga ga over our hiring of Weinke? He was suppose to turn Sammie into a pro bowl QB, Foles already was an all pro QB, but shouldn't Weinke be a benefit to Foles also?

Plus playing indoor for most of his games should help, the opposite should hurt Sammie!

I did not know that, I guess that's a good thing when you're playing behind the Rams O-Line. It appears that the Rams have had enough with QB's that can't stay off the injured list. Size does matter.
