If you don't have the team in place right now, which you don't, you won't have it if you pay Kirk Cousins $27-30 mill a year. I'm not hinting at anything. Basically I'm saying this: If Kirk Cousins throws 5,000 yards, 40 TDs, 10 INTs, but the Redskins are still 8-8 or 9-7, what good is that doing the Redskins? If y'all can't win division titles or NFC titles or even win a damn playoff game, what's the sense in keeping KC around? Look at DeShaun Watson. Rookie QB playing the shit out of the game right now. Look at Carson Wentz. Not a good rookie campaign but he's now led the Eagles to be 6-1. It can happen and it's happening right now with other teams. Question is are you comfortable enough to go through that process, as a fan, to wait 1-2 years for it to pay off. You pay your QB a lot, that leaves you with less money for a good supporting cast.

Again dude, you have pointed out two teams that actually HAD those defenses, running games and to a degree WRs and coaching stability in place. If Cousins is throwing for 5000 yards, 40 TDs and we are STILL lossing

HOW IN THE FUCK IS HE THE PROBLEM???

And again aside from drafting a rookie, what exactly is saving a few million in cap space going to accomplish?? The Giants did the whole free agent bonanza, and they are 1-6 right now.

Sure I agree it CAN happen... but the odds are more likely we turn into the BRowns, constantly chasing the QB position, then magically have a rookie carry the team. We tried that already, and thats what got us to where we are right now.

It's possible that he's not a good enough leader on and/or off the field. He's not motivating them enough. Who knows? All fans know is what we hear from social media sites and on the field. Cousins is a good QB. He is a statistical machine. He can't however, get over that hump of winning more than 1 game over .500. Like I said in a previous comment, Cousins isn't even a top 5 problem on this team. Other things need to be looked at. RB position, WR position, defense, O-line protection, front office, coaching staff. If Cousins is the future, pay the man his money and build around him. But Cousins also needs to be a part of that process. If he likes CT more than Perine of R.Kelley, CT and KC need to work together more often during practices to get in a rhythm. If KC things Pryor needs more targets, get them to work together more often and build that rapport and trust in each other.

That's the thing, where others like yourself are repeatedly saying that Dan and Bruce Will somehow fuck this up, I already believe that it has already been fucked up by them. The question that NO one here has answered is......WHY?

Until now!

There's talk now about Carson Wentz being league MVP. There's plenty of games to be played before that is decided, but there is talk right now, So before I go on let me ask you and everyone else, were you or were you not impressed with the performance of Carson Wentz last night? (and thus far on the season)

I was impressed and I was equally impressed by Cousin's who does not have as good a team as Wentz does.

You have post after post about Cousin's and not a fucking thing about the D or how bad Swearinger got beat. Do you watch the entire game or just the part you want to see?

I had to laugh at your "I am in lock step with shark" ..... he believes the FO will screw this up. He has supported Cousin's for some time.

Garcons cap number is 9.4, Jacksons is 11.5 Both are front loaded deals.

And both are doing more than Pryor and Doctson.

Garcon is getting double digits this year. The way the 49ers worked his deal. Was has Jackson done this year? Doctson is just now starting you cant compare that. Of course Pryor is giving us nothing but he is making less than those two.

Pierre Garcon WR 10 $6,625,000
$1,325,000
$2,400,000 $250,000 $100,000 $9,375,000

So by your logic, you would rather pay less and get nothing, than pay more and have the production?? Awesome.

By the way, Jackson has 22 receptions for 360 yards and 2 TDs

So as I said... more than pryor and Doctson. And he also has done what he did for us for years... keep the defense honest when it comes to coverage. We no longer have that guy. The one that demands the defense respect him even if the ball isnt going to him.

You think those are good numbers for Jackson? Both Wr;s are past their primes. It was a good move to move on from both. Just b.c we lost those two guys is that your Kc excuse? lol

I think they ar better numbers than what we are getting out of Pryor, and I think you discount what he brought to this offense aside from his own raw numbers. I think Crowder had the ear he did because teams did have to respect our other WRs last year.

And Cousins doesnt NEED and exuse, without those two guys he is still performing. And has actually improved. So if any one is making excuses, its you making excuses for why it was smart to play him on the tag again.

Im not making any excuses. Crowder is having a down year b/c the passing game has been going threw Davis, Grant, and Thompson. Crowder is a play maker in the passing game I don't know why they don't use him more. You say KC is better and you point to the numbers. But what about picking up a blitz? that hasn't gotten better. what about accuracy on 3rd downs? that hasn't gotten better. Sure his completion % is high b/c we have now developed a screen game. The thing that got better with KC this year is his legs and scrambling.

Sty maybe I am misreading your post. Maybe not. Could Dan and Bruce screw this up. I told you before last nights game that I thought it was 50/50 in my opinion. Dan has always liked having a shiny new toy. I won't argue that point at all.

I believe our chances of getting someone equal to or better than Cousin's are very slim if they let him go.

Got it. If the WRs are having down years it is Cousins fault. The running game not doing well? Cousins fault. Bad defense? Cousins fault. Poor blocking? The result of Cousins play & how he scrambles & uses pocket - not injuries. Basically everything is either the fault of Cousins or Gruden. BTW - are Crowder's fumbling issues on punts also due to either Cousins or Gruden?

@SoCalWizFan For $30M a year, Cousins should throw passes, rush for 140 yards per game, catch his own passes, return punts and Kicks offs. He should play corner, safety, ILB and Nose tackle on third downs. Oh yea, and call plays. :D

For $30M a year, he needs to bring a Super Bowl to Washington.

What do Luck, Stafford and Carr have over Cousins?? They are getting paid more than him and none have won a Super Bowl... Oh wait they were first round picks though, so they EARNED it. :thumb:

Stafford and Carr haven't earned their money. Luck, however, up until his injuries, did earn it. 2 straight division titles with 3 playoff wins and an AFC title game. Took a 2-14 team to the playoffs. That's improvement. They didn't, however, have a crystal ball to show how badly he would be injured the last 2 years.
