Hey gang,

Just a quick blurb about some SportsHoopla stuff going on behind the scenes. Over the past couple of months the powers have been sorting out the advertising situation and Google is the only viable option. So the pretty strict requirements on NSFW stuff and keeping our conversations appropriate (aka, without racism / explicit material) are here to stay.

I don't know about you guys, but this place has been the best forum I've posted on. We've got a great collection of posters here, and on the NHL general board, that give me an outlet to discuss hockey with knowledgeable fans from teams across the league, as well as the Flyers brethren here. We share good hockey conversation and lots of laughs. Please accept these rules, even if they aren't your favorite, to preserve what we've got going here. Any concerns, please PM me instead of posting it here.

No problem Awaz for the most part profanities only slip out once in a while but we don't really need them. For the most part everyone's pretty cool and this shouldn't be a problem. It has to work for everyone.

profanities are fine and perfectly reasonable.. lets just not use them in a demeaning fashion to groups of people (ie, minorities/women/etc.)

No worries for me awaz. I am supporting these rules and you 1000 fold. As a mod on other boards, I have stated similar rules because a bunch of us spent nearly a week cleaning this site up for a rerun with Google. That was no picnic but it was a small sacrifice to keep the SportsHoopla operative. I like this board and the SportsHoopla way too much to let it return to those days.
