They ensured themselves that they will get Richardson. Schefter, Glazer, Mort, and Casserly all are reporting that is who they will still select. (Rotoworld). Schefter reported that the Browns "felt a little panicked."

Wow Browns wtf? I could see making that kind of an effort to get to #2 for RG3, but why move to #3 and pay that kind of tax?

Cleveland had two 4ths and they gave away the later one (118). They had two 5ths and gave up the earlier one (139). They had three 7ths and gave up the earliest one (211), which is the only one they could trade because the other two are compensatory.

It's Richardson who they want. Vikes raped the Browns for that trade. Especially since they picked up 3 picks and only moved down 1 pick overall.

Agreed. The Browns are light weights when it comes to the draft.

They must have thought someone was trading with Minny to draft Richardson so Cleveland put in a bid for #3. It doesn't make any sense to me otherwise.

EDIT: Still doesn't make sense to ME, but that's the only rationale I could come up with for them.

The Vikings now have four 4th round picks (98, 118, 128, 134). They have two 5th round picks (138, 139). They have three 7th round picks (210, 211, 223).

I believe they have 13 total picks now.
