It bothers me because I had brain surgery back in the 90's and sometimes have memory issues. Nothing like this tho.

you Omaha guys, any decent mechanics? does good work but not crazy expensive? I'd prefer one that has a loaner car so i can get to work or a shuttle or something. I need to get my car in for a tune up and fix something so probably going to run a little more than a normal oil change/tire rotation at the place my wife would normally take it. I work near 90th and Dodge, live in Millard (southwest O) if that helps.

I've heard the commercials on the radio for Omaha Car Care (at least i think it was them) so was thinking maybe try them.

also been debating this "Excellence in Auto-Repair" place on 84th and Blondo. good reviews on Google and yelp. they are close enough i think i can talk a coworker into picking me up and dropping me back off.

I'm not much of a car guy. But a few years ago I had the same issue where i get a grinding noise when turning left and accelerating. the shop i took it to said it was some brake item and fixed it and everything was fine. that shop just isn't as convenient to my work location and I'm too damn busy to take time off of work to take it there as they don't offer loaner cars or rides.

I'm also pretty sure it needs some tune-up work. i didn't have the maintenence done at 100k miles and it seems like it could probably use something as it doesn't have the same getup and go as it used to.

10000% go there!! They absolutely will not screw you. Tom is a great guy. That was the only place I would ever go for first 20 years of driving. Last couple vehicles have been leases so haven’t been there for a few years but I send my oldest kid there for his car.
