Are you "always' on here? "Always" meaning she feels neglected? She may have a point.
Women's rarely come straight out and tell you they feel neglected, they'll criticize where you're putting your time and expect you to either be a mind reader or break out your decoder ring to decipher her feelings.
Nah. I have a computer with a 26" monitor mounted on a swivel mount on the right of me. During football season tHoop is always on a tab, usually more with husker sub being on one tab and main cfb boards on another. I dont neglect her she just complains about it when i tell her to put her phone down lol. There is no point in closing tabs even if i am not interacting at the time so while they may be open "all the time" i am not interacting with them all the time.

The real point was her lack of interest in the site as a whole. It is likely due to the fact if it were not for me she wouldnt watch football. Her interest is just not there for the sport unless its a Seahawks or Huskers game then she roots and watches with me.

If she were into decorating dollhouses, would she expect you to be interested in dollhouses as well?

That being said, maybe she's on her phone all the time as a result of you being on the computer all the time. Just sayin'.

You are straying from the point here guy. Not looking for a family counselor, my wife and i are very happy together lol. The point is getting females on this board is not something i can assist with as in my own experience my wife is simply not interested in what goes on here. Sometimes she reads things when i find something funny for her to read that is usually it.

Not straying at all. I didn't use the term "always", you did (or she did). That term has meaning although it is used loosely far too often.

We can certainly agree the ratio of men to women who like football (or any sport) enough to dissect it among strangers is probably 100-1 at best.

LoL the point wasnt to put emphasis on the "always" so much as the fact she does not show similar interest in it. That was all. There was nothing to read into with that statement nor was it a direct quote. It could be her saying "how can you spend so much time on there" same difference. The point is she was not interested.

Forgive me. I'm a tech writer about 25% of my time. I've written textbook material, lesson plans, tests, etc.. I tend to latch onto loosely used adverbs that have real meaning. We are careful not to use terms like "always".

I can understand that from that point of view as always is too definite to be used often.

On the topic of women. They have proliferated into the multiplayer gaming world, of the women in that world maybe 1-5% are true gamers the other 95% are there to get their ego's stroked and be chased after and whore themselves out. Now that is quite the broad brush and i cannot say with certainty my numbers would hold true for everyone elses experience but it is a general trend i have noticed in games where voice chat and social functions are built into the multi player game. My point is we would likely get more loud mouth look at me types than contributing members (though what do i really bring to this board other than my opinion) just my $0.02 :D

I don't game so know nothing about the environment.
There are a few good posters on SportsHoopla that are women. There used to be more back in the day. I'd speculate the ratio of men to women that no longer post on the SportsHoopla is about the same as it is now. Active SportsHoopla members has slowed considerably over the past few years. Used to be you couldn't keep up with a thread in the CFB or General forums. Even sometimes here on the Husker Forum if it were a game thread.
