Everyone forgets that Sam didn't start his career as an All-B1G caliber punter, either. It's a position that takes some time to grow into. If he struggles again this year, I could see us adding someone, but I doubt it.

Agree with this 100%. RB run game should be improved as well when teams have to actually sit back a little and respect the pass.

That along with an improved/healthier O-Line and Tre Bryant coming into his own plus Spielman/Lindsey on the fly sweep who should be a major upgrade with how dynamic they are in space.

That negative net yardage punt and going rogue and running for it on 4th will be hanging over him for a long time though

Lightborn had a really great punt against Oregon so I can see the potential in the kid. the more I rewatch games it boggles my mind how Tommy Armstrong was ever a quarterback he cannot throw the ball accurate at all. if I was a wide receiver I would be so pissed when he would throw the ball and I have to climb the ladder and just get laid the fuck out my somebody in the secondary. Time after time the wide receiver made the play made Tommy look good in them when they didn't Tommy was bitching and yelling and pissed I hope the next quarterback is not like that hopefully it doesn't have to be like that

Pretty pointless to complain about a kid after he's gone and put 4 years in.

Was he a great quarterback? No. But to me, if you're going to complain then you better have a better alternative. Did you want Fyfe? POB? Tommy was clearly our best option at QB. The guy was a leader and played his ass off. You can't question that.
