That post felt like a parole hearing LMAO.

Honestly I didn't miss it all that much mainly because the Huskers had such a heartbreaker of a season, but I like the game threads on the CFB and NFL boards.

Probably steer clear of the political board though. I think that's the thing that got me on HD's bad side.

Being a "bleeding heart liberal" doesn't mix well over there.

There's a new owner...I don' know him at all. I think it's @Shaggy

Yeah I think my appeal fell on deaf ears. Plus as far as I know HD is still around and if he asked him about it then it was a definite no :pound:

I just don't get how national media is able to get this kind of shit out of players and coaches that local either never thought to ask or the players and coaches never trusted them to get right.

So @Shaggy , what say you? Am I stuck in captivity or will you give me a chance? The mods here vouch for me.

Oh and here's some petty pandering: I took David Johnson with my first pick in my money league this year.

Looking for a good Nebraska workman's comp attorney to take a look at my wife's claim. I think she kinda got a bad deal.

Any of you guys ever deal with one?

i didn't see anything there that i hadn't read elsewhere. i can't quote exact sources, but i had read the same stuff. last year just being a half ass effort by some of the players, especially the ones not mature enough to understand that it's a business and management went a different way. as it says in there, if the whole team would have rolled with it and bought in sooner, they would have had a couple more wins, but instead they hit rock bottom against Purdue and then finally woke up.

Tom - I'll ask a buddy who's a bankruptcy attorney to see if he knows anyone.

also, i worked in workers comp insurance for about 4 years and still in the Property & Casualty industry, so i know how the insurance companies work. i don't remember reading any details about your wife's case, but depending on the insurance company, i could definitely see that happening.

Thanks. It's been an ongoing case for the past couple of years. Two surgeries, rehab, two MMI's. It may be legit, it just seems like there is more than one way to interpret what the doctors determined in their reports.

Always remember that insurance companies are in the business of insuring risk...their risk. Not yours.

so i take the insurance company is forcing you to one doctor? I'm pretty sure you can seek a second opinion and they still have to pay the claim, it's just like medical insurance, P&C companies contract with certain Drs and they get lower rates. Unfortunately sometimes the reason they are getting those lower rates is that the Dr isn't as good. You can ask them for a list of alternative doctors and then try and look to find someone who has good reviews.

my friend gave me two names one in Lincoln and one in Omaha. Looking at their websites they actually both say they serve both. I can't PM you, so just going to put it here, since you can find both by just searching the internet.
Lincoln Workers' Compensation & Injury Lawyers | Atwood, Holsten, Brown, Deaver & Spier - specifically Ellen Deaver (went to law school with my friend's wife)
http://www.dyerlaw.com/ - Mike Dyer (he's a friend of my friend's father in law. he wasn't sure if he himself does workers comp claims but knows his firm does.)

Is actually two different doctors. I don't think the doctors are the issue, but rather the interpretation of thier reports.
After the first surgery she was a assessed at 6% in her "lower arm." after a second surgery for nerve issues she was assessed at 10% for "hand and wrist."
The insurance company says it is only a difference of 4%, but it seems to me that hand & wrist are two separate body parts, this the difference would be 14%.

Again, I could be wrong. It just doesn't seem like the same thing to me.

FUNNY STAT OF THE DAY

Iowa better be some strong mothers this year. Their strength coach makes more than 24 D1 head coaches including Frank Solich
