Don't know if he was paid off, but I wouldn't blame anyone who thought so. Did Jones own the cow-chips back then? I wouldn't put such a thing past him.

Lots of mistakes and sub-par performances by multiple players in the last SB. Lost that one as a team. In the loss to Dallas, the whole team brought their A-game, EXCEPT O'Donnell. Watched that one at a friend's house in the Burgh, and had to make the 3-hr drive home afterwards. Cussed for at least two of those three hours, but at least it kept me awake.

BTW, kudos for your prediction that the lockout wouldn't last. Some of us (including yinz's truly) weren't so sure. But in the end, the only real casualty was the Hall of Fame Game.
