Hi, Aggie. That's good advice. If memory serves, with my parental units it was always "you'll blow your hand off." And let's not forget the other classics:

You'll break your leg (why I couldn't have a skateboard);
You'll break your neck (why I couldn't dive head-first from the high board); and
(my personal favorite) You'll put your eye out (why I couldn't have a slingshot).

I've actually never broken a bone before, which is a total shocker to me and my parents, I have required stitches once and they didnt take me, and I required staples once, and they DID take me for that
