Were y'all saying this when the NFC west got an 8-8 team into the playoffs?

Just sayin....

Us? Defending Seattle? I think we were saying the same things then as we are now, both those for and against.

It is going to happen. They are going to expand the # of playoff teams from 12 to 14.

What may tip the balance in favor of expanding the playoffs is money: Two more playoff teams would mean two more playoff games, and those games would fetch upwards of $100 million apiece from one of the NFL’s TV partners. It’s hard to picture the NFL’s owners turning that down.

An extra $200 million for the NFL? How could the owners turn this down?

Might as well add as many teams as possible. $100 mil a pop is nothing to sneeze at.
