Everyone knows the talent is there. Shitty teams usually don't have a deep winning culture. Put Jalen Carter in 2000s "Patriot Way" teams with that leadership in the locker room and he's probably an All Pro. Put him on the 2000's era Matt Millen Lions and he probably out of the league in 3 years. I would say this Philly team probably has the locker room that they can get more out of Carter, plus they can afford to swing for the fences even if they end up striking out.

Hey, no doubting the man's talent. But I trust him about as far as I trust me becoming a Packers fan. In addition to questioning his character and work ethic, the line in the sand for me was him showing up on his pro day 9 lbs overweight and completely out of shape. This is a 1st pick talent who was pushed back to 9th for a reason.

The Eagles traded a 2024 4th to move up one pick for Jalen Carter, btw. I don't think that's a lot if they really think Jalen Carter is OK character wise.

I mean okay I can't fault the Titans for that. It's not glamorous but that's a solid pick. Solid grade. Probably just flat out give that a B+. It's a guard, but guards do matter and you get a talented player on the cheap for 4 years.
