When he was hired in '09 I loved the hire. We all thought a few years at U.N.O. then move you to the "big leagues" U.N.L. When Osborne retires.

But after the he got rid of the football and wrestling programs. No way in hell do I want him in Lincoln.

I have a close friend that wrestled at UNO that last year. That was messed up.

Here is why Trev Alberts would be a bad choice.

Pops Trev Alberts would be a horrible hire. Half the state hates his guts.

He's radioactive. Perlman doesn't want that blood on his hands if he runs the football program back into the ground. There would have been too many warning signs.

One thing though, that is frankly laughable is the idea that UNL was somehow intimidated by "the potential powerhouse that is UNO football" ...

The idea that the powers that be at UNL somehow had involvement in the shutting down of their football program..... Absolutely ridiculous.
