I don't know if it's big news, he seemed to get a lot of flack for his work during the Argentina - Netherlands match.

As he should. That game was a mess.

For the life of me I don't understand how a guy can intentionally fire the ball into the bench after committing a hard foul and not get tossed.

Argentinian superstar uncalled handball, why does that story sound so familiar?

FWIW, I think Messi should have been booked for that, but feel it wasn't red-worthy. It felt more like egregiously sloppy than intentional like Suarez or in a spot where it absolutely HAS to be a red, like a keeper playing it outside the box. Missing it entirely though is awful.

He ended up getting a yellow in the leadup to the Netherlands equalizer. Had he been yellow'ed earlier that could've been a red.

Anyway, like you guys said piss poor officiating.
