None of Portugal's handballs were deliberate. Obtuse comment.

Geiger was actually pretty good (although he may have booked Ronaldo for that dive near the end). The only contention Morocco may have is that the foul by Fonte in the box near the end of the first half could've gone for a penalty. I wouldn't have been mad to see it (and Portugal won a FK immediately afterward on the other side of the pitch) but otherwise it was a pretty well-reffed match.

I think Santos made some squad errors. Gelson looked awful, Rony Lopes may have done better. William is getting blown by in both games and there’s really no replacement at DM; why didn’t he bring Ruben Neves? What’s Manuel Fernandes doing on the squad instead? I honestly don’t even know what position Joao Mario was assigned today but he didn’t perform it well. Bruno Fernandes hasn’t been anywhere near as impressive as I was hoping.

At this point all he can really do is tinker with the formation I guess but I still think this team could go down to Iran and get knocked out.
