I have noticed that those of us who are older than 30 and served in the Military tend to be the most stubborn on a point. Might be something there.

LOL having been in the military I have thought that numerous times. I think too often people want to assign blame somewhere and worry about what did happen than what needs to happen. I think most of us here react like the modern sports media and make statements without knowledge. In reality what dad said is right, if we weren't there we will never know what happened for sure.

All that really matters is what happens next year.

I will say two things on this.

1. I have seen many people who are naturally gifted at sports and spend hours training, but dont feel they need to adjust what has worked for them in the past. Tebow was considered a guy always at the facility and a work out warrior. But he never adjusted his game.

2. I can understand the early mechanics struggles as he was trying to recover from the knee injury. But as the season wore on and his speed slowly came back, his mechanics actually got worse. Which again would lead one to MAYBE think he was not really working on the right fundamentals from week to week. Now I know you will say well then the coaches job was to correct that. But a coach can only do so much Tuesday - Friday if on Sunday the player for what ever reason reverts back to old bad habits. And Shanahan got crucified for benching RG3 to try and protect him from injury. You guys would have driven up to his house and lynched the man had he benched RG3 for performance reasons.

Shanahan benched Griffin at seasons end for his own personal vendetta. He knew he was on the way out and this was his last warning shot fired, simply put. Heck, his Son wasn't even on board. Yeah, I know Shanahan said he was trying to protect him going into next year but as we all know, the egotistical maniac had his own agenda.

So I get it. We are supposed to take everything 3sus does as face value as not having any kind of agenda. But the head coach SHOULD have the power to bench any player for an reason. He gave his reason publicly... but it had to be some kind of parting shot.

Hell a real parting shot would have been to leave him in, and bench Trent Williams then proceed to call nothing but slow developing fly routes.
