So what stats do you want to use for player efficiency?
You guys do realise that's not how they rank rookies, right?
Major stats for a PG IMO would be FG%, TO, & assist to turnover ratio

So averaging a near triple-double means jack?
Russell Westbrook was 38th in Assists per Turnover and 23rd in FG% amongst PGs ALONE and he still won MVP. Why?
There is more to basketball than points, rebounds, and assist......
Hey if you're ok with anyone on your team shooting 34% from the field then more power to you.
If he dishes out 15 assists on that same night, I don't think there's a single person out there that would care.
If you want to see how efficient look for a rookie PG, look at Ben Simmons.
Sure.
He dished out 13 assists vs New Orleans and the team was -24 with him on the floor. Do you know how hard that is to do?
Can YOU? He said Lonzo would do well in PER and I corrected him.

Becuase the average person does not understand the game of basketball well enough to realize how inefficient he was.
I never looked at Ball's PER. I just said it was BS.
You are arguing with me implying that his efficiency numbers are good. THey aren't by any measure.
Just admit that you misread my original post and move on. You aren't even saying anything. Just arguing for the sake of arguing.
So why did they give him the Most VALUABLE Player award if he was so inefficient?
@Mecca is the only female poster on SportsHoopla worth debating basketball with
LOL. I answered that already.
MVP is about the most outstanding stat line or the most outstanding performer more than anything else.
