Lavar told him to shoot 25, he did two better...lolLonzo was good last night but 27 shots is a lot. That would be my only complaint

In fairness, Like told him to be more aggressive offensively too.
Kid had a great game. Should be a confidence builder.
“They don’t want to see you shoot 1-for-6. They don’t want to shoot six shots. They would rather see you shoot 6 out of 25. And the only way you’re going to do that is making them fear you. You have to put the ball in the hole. But you got to make your team understand that you’re not just out there shooting. Make everybody go. The building is too quiet for too long at a time.”
Agree.Yeah but considering he is a pass first PG, you want him to ideally be around that 12-15 range. 6 was too little as well.

Name another rookie with a similar stat line in the last, say 10 years, within the first two games.
Agree.
Could have been a byproduct of the last game.
Games like that will be the exception, not the rule.
Kuz looked good too.Exactly. Those numbers don't really apply in a game in the 130s.
Wish I would've realized about the free league pass preview, would've watched last night. I'm more interested in Ingram's 25 pts, truth be told. Much more efficient and he hasn't impressed this preseason (since the one Vegas league game).

Dennis Smith Jr played one game and is now injured. Mavs are 0-3 and in serious position to not win the West. Thanks Junior
Well... looks like I was wrong about Lonzo not getting stat's. Looks like the kid is gonna get his stat's this season.Lonzo is young and lanky and skinny... he's gonna get pushed around and bodied as a rookie.
I tried arguing this point in certain off-season threads where folks seemed to have wild expectations for his production out of the gate... eventually, I gave up. And who am I to be a wet blanket, anyways?... the off-season is the time for dreamin'.

There are big inefficiency issues thus far, but the kid is already pretty silky running an offense... have to think those will iron out with time.
Yeah... I agree.Yea he's going to get his assist and rebounds. Scoring isn't there yet. Seems to be a low % shooter in his first 3 games.
I can see something like 13, 8, & 7 on 41% shooting or so
..

I agree about not judging them.
But, as crazy as this may sound, Fultz's performance last night is far more alarming to me than Ball, Monk, or any other rookie. It has nothing to do with his numbers. Dude was supposed to be a good shooter and his FT attempts look worse than DeAndre Jordan's. I mean they were not close.
If he is hurt, he needs to sit out. If he isn't hurt, he needs to learn to shoot. Fultz is explosive, but he isn't DSJ. Without a jumper he will not be a successful pro. I would bet on that.
