The name 'Redskins' - What say you?

I think it's safe to assume that the term is not a flattering one, for native americans. But the overhead, in switching such a major sports brand, is easy to understand as well.

Yeah, but there's a pretty big leap from 'Seminoles' or 'Braves' to 'Redskins', imo. I think it's the right thing to do in this case. But there are so many decisions that go into the business side of it, not just the tradition. I see why the resistance is there.

I would love to keep rooting for the Redskins but of I have to, I can root for the warriors or wildcats or nationals or whatever. I'm a fan of the team not the name.

Personally it doesn't offend me but I am not a Native American.

Absolutely. However it is still a racial slur used today as Redskin isn't.
