An impressive trophy case. At Michigan, many want us to forget out past. It is an awesome display!!!

I don't think it's about forgetting the past - Hell, Minnesota has more National Championships than most teams, but those were all in the Stone Age.

I think the arrogance part comes from name calling your rival school when in recent history that rival is whipping your ass.

I think of A*burn as my mental deranged step sister, but that's now. Back when they won the Iron Bowl 5 times in a row, you can bet I didn't say a damn thing, just watching and prayed that soon we would get our revenge.

Just so I get it straight. It is ok to talk about the past if it is the Indians, but it is ironic if a Michigan fan talks about the past?

I'm not sure you're equipped for that.

You said that the Indians being in first place is bizarre. It's actually much less bizarre than if the Tigers were to be.

It's ironic when a UofM fan is busting a ND fan's balls about only having one title in forever, because UofM only has one title in forever. You know what irony means, right?

You do know the Tigers won the AL in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 right? The last time Cleveland won a division title was 2007. Since then, the White Sox have won the division, the Twins won the division twice, the Royals have won the division and the Tigers have won the division 4 times.

Yes, It is bizarre to see the Indians in 1st place. It'd really be bizarre if they took first place as everyone in the division has won and some multiple times since the Indians last won a division title.

And it is ironic a fan of the Indians would comment about two teams (um and nd) for 1 title in forever, when the Indians last title was 68 years ago.

But while we're on the subject, did you know those are the only AL Central titles the Tigers have?

I'm a Buckeyes fan, they've been pretty good lately, no? This is a college football forum, you brought up the other sports.

Yes, I'm aware. And OSU has had killer recruiting classes lately. But very few teams have a title that kids can remember.
As I said, tOSU has one of those that most remember.

The only B1G teams with less than 3 wins over OSU and/or MSU in their past 8 meetings are:

Indiana
Illinois
Maryland
Michigan

That's some mighty fine bottom dwelling. :pound:

Big deal. They've only been in the AL Central since 1998.

Since the Tigers joined the ALC, they have the same number of division titles as Cleveland (4).

Northwestern is on that list, too. Also, OSU is 7-1 in their last 8 vs. Wisconsin.

1 win over MSU. 3 wins over OSU. 3-4 vs OSU in the past 8 if you count the vacated OSU win in 2010.
No way if the NCAA does not count that vacated win neither do I. I am outraged

Yes. Detroit was historically bad when they left the AL East to come to the AL Central. Until the owner opened the check book for the Tigers, instead of the Red Wings -- that was when it changed.

Checkbook was open last year. How'd the Tigers do?

Let's put it this way. Since you seem to think the Indians have been relevant because of what they did in the 90's -- are you saying UM and OSU are basically a wash in their success, because prior to OSU dominating UM winning 12 of 15 -- UM beat OSU in 12 of 15.

See how silly that sounds.

Check book open doesn't guarantee anything (see NY Yankees) -- they still have to get it done on the field and stay injury free. Detroit was riddled with injury last year, so instead of chasing at the trade deadline -- they took pieces they had and traded them for pieces for the future (which is how we got 3 of our 5 starting pitchers right now)
