They ruined my childhood, as a Caps fan, plus I find Crosby and his antics to be pedantic and annoying.

I'll have a personal dislike for the Blackhawks if they come back and win the series, just as I'm getting stoked to see more Coyotes games they end it in 2...

sorry, not enough options. I would have substituted Blackhawks in for Maple Leafs but someone was saying the entire country of Canada hates the Leafs.

In Canada, the most hated team is generally the Canadian team that's having the most success. Right now, it's probably the Canucks; Toronto had the title for a while about 10 years ago; Edmonton had the title for a number of years; Montreal owned the distinction back in the 70's.

Of course, results will vary depending on what province you're in at the time. Out here in BC, it's not uncommon for people to hate anything and everything Toronto; there was a time when that same sentiment was felt for Quebec.

I would have to agree though that over time, Toronto will generally own the title as most hated franchise.

For me personally, it's the Canucks. Not because I hate the team, the fans, the media, the stadium, the city, the mascot, the ticket prices, or the beer; I don't. I only hate the Canucks because I can't stand a fucking minute of listening to clown relatives and friends ramble on about how it's "fixed" when they lose, or gloat uncontrollably when they win. I'm sure it's pretty much the same in the heart of Leafland, but I don't live there so I don't have to hear it.......so there.

I will never hate another team more than I hated the 1999 Dallas Stars. I cried after Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals. Like a baby. Fuck Dallas. Especially Lehtinen. And Nieuwendyk. But especially Craig Ludwig.

But right now? The Canucks. The city hates Mark Messier, so fuck 'em.

i voted vancouver, just because every time i watch them play, i hate them even more. i wish i could like them, because they have such a talented team. but the way they play, i can't respect a team like that. players like lapierre are a disgrace to the league. happy to chirp and take shots at the other team, but rarely step up and fight to earn the respect necessary to act like that.

Not a big deal, I hate every NHL team in the East not in New England. And a majority of the teams in the West, I more or less just cheer for players in the West.
