Beasley comes in, let's a pass go right through his hands, makes a stupid foul for no reason, then blows a lay up. I'm so sick of his clown ass.

That trade and contract has not aged well

That trade has been fantastic, just not because of Beasley. Vanderbilt was a throw in to the deal and outside of Capela might be the best player to move and is only 22.

The contract is not defensible at this point. Should have used his gun charges as a free out.

I forgot Vanderbilt was in that deal.

I really liked him as a draft sleeper. And a good fit next to kat.

Resigning Beasley was brutal for sure.

Still tomorrows game vs Denver left but otherwise the Wolves survived a pretty tough guantlet of games.

Schedule will lighten up a bit going forward the next month or so. Time to prove they are not destined to just hover at .500 all year.

Not until they become more than just a collection of guys who run down and just jack up shots from anywhere without ball movement.

Wolves are upper half in assists and I think -1 nightly vs their oppenent.

They are not some flawless ball movement team, but its definitely not a major issue.

The issue is whether its off a pass or not, the guy taking the shot usually isnt a very good shooter. If anything, guys like KAT are still too passive

Yeah they are 11th, pretty impressive for a young group of guys. They do have 1-on-1 guys but they move the ball well. They aren't a great shooting team from outside, Cavs aren't either. That definitely makes a difference, although they could be worse.

Yup. Edwards def has his moments of going one on one where he just dribbles up top for 7 seconds before an obvious 30 footer. But most of the shots are solid looks.

Team just takes too many 3s imo for not being good enough at them. Instead they should be looking to take that pass and drive while the defense is scrambling.

They really need a 3 and D type trade at the deadline and/or another big

They are entering a tough stretch of games

at memphis
vs warriors
at new york
at atlanta
vs brooklyn
at portland
at warriors
at phoenix
vs utah

This looks like a 2-7/3-6 stretch which would leave them at 22-28 or 23-27

Wrong!!!!

They caught a couple breaks with utah and the first warriors game but they are in great shape imo to now host a play in game

I still watch the wolves sparringly and while most of their guys are not Curry or Donovan

Not sure the wolves have had a full roster for more than like 2 straight games since december. At least whenever I watch someone is always out. Dont even know wtf is going on with Russell now

Edwards shooting has been shocking to me. He shit below 30 from the college 3 line, but in his second year he is hitting 37 on 9 attempts a game? Usually you know if a player coming in is a shooter or not, this kind of rapid improvement is rare.

But yeah, Wolves only have 3 players hitting league average from downtown, but have launched more than anyone else. It could be a problem.

However, Beasley and Beverly are both shooting way below their career averages, and account for about a quarter of the 3s. If their season slump adjusts to their average the Wolves are actually a solid 3 shooting team.

Ship Beasley and Beverly out if they can

Wolves rolled the Nuggets last night to get back over .500.

Still the occaisional tough game with a good amount of road games coming up. But the schedule gets much lighter for a long while now.

Come mid marchish. They really gotta be 4-5 games above .500 at an absolute minimum imo

Who would take Beasley at this point? I am fine with Beverly, even without the shooting he fills a critical role for the team.

According to the athletic they turned down Josh Richardson and Aaron nesmith for Beasley

If true that is insanity, Richardson has the exact shooting the Wolves need and is on an expiring contract. The following year Nesmith is only 4 on the books. The only way I see that it would make sense to reject that is if Wolves want to use Beasley Salary to swing for the fences looking for someone. He has no trade value though.

Richardson signed a one year extension for next year at around 12m

I would still take that instantly. From what I read they want Smart? seems very unlikely
