Wow, you finally made sense yourself! I guess in the big picture you are right, most of my posts are about Sammie, so I guess they are about "nothing"

Well the past is past....

Might as well talk about Bulger now, it has about as much relevance to me. (Except for the 8 starts because I'd like to keep that 3rd or 4th next year and just gain an extra 2nd.)

Switching gears now my friend and hopefully it's 5th gear because I want this Rams team to cruise this year!

Hey, I meant to say this earlier but I'm glad to see the 'ole avatar back SJ.

With that and a new, talented QB coming into Rams park, it just feels like the world is right again.

The Rams should think about doing the same thing with DE C.Long next year as he will count 14m against the cap at 31 years old. I know he's been a good ram but its a business. the only problem is I doubt anyone will take on that pay. He will have to restructure for sure.

I'm saying the QB talent needs to be on the field to be realized....

I think Foles has talent and will give us a lot of healthy starts next year...

Look guys, I thought about this a lot since I see Mariotta dropping to us at #10. We need O-line but what we need most are picks for O-line so we get a few to chose from. OK if Mariotta reaches the Rams at 10, a team might come up a want to deal but we don't have to accept anything just to get some picks. Draft the kid and then trade him and his value doubles. If that deal that we want doesn't come remember Foles is a 1 year player at this point. But I would bet a team comes to us and wants him bad and we get the picks we want and some for next year too. Just makes me wonder about Quick. If he is our No 1 at WR liked he looked before his injury than this is what I would like us to do at 10.

Last season when Long was out the defense struggled when he came back they turned completely around and started to play well. Long will retire a Ram and should retire a Ram.

That's true but I'm not sure if that was the entire reason. It took them awhile to grasp Williams system. He can always retire a ram but he's not worth 14m

Oh you are dead wrong on this one Cougar. The leadership, integrity, competitiveness, and mental toughness he brings to the Rams are priceless. Rambunctious is correct. Long's presence in the locker room is immense. He's worth his salary because he also such a great respected team player like his dad was with the Raiders.

Long takes a lot of double teams to free up Quinn and others and he fires everyone up by leading by example just like one of his old-school predecessors, that being none other than Jack Youngblood! Fisher knows all of this and I'd be surprised if they traded C. Long next or the year after. He'll retire a Ram.

I agree with you guys but your thinking with your heart. no way they pay him 14m next year. he will have to restructure at least. thats more then JJ Watt and Quinn. needs to be around 7-8

If Long gets hurt or has a down year, I guarantee they will put pressure on him to take a pay cut or he'll be cut. I'm a huge Long fan as well, but not at $14 million.

Read an article on him a while back written by his wife. She stated that every time the doorbell would ring and he would get up to answer the phone!
