Terrible. Just terrible. There have been a lot of poorly hit balls fall in on us lately. That's a wrap.

Attendance is going to start plummeting.

Colby isnt colby anymore. It goes to show that you can't just expect people to get back to the level they were at after an injury. It goes for colby lewis, matt harrison, neftali feliz, and I definitely wouldnt expect derek holland to either. Its hopeful, not an expectation. Freakin shame man. I'm hoping Derek comes back solid at least. We could have a rotation with the top 3 being yu derek and perez and maybe somehow someway get a good FA pitcher to sign here ONE TIME.

Agree except I think Holland will be okay as he is young and should get his knee rehabbed.

If we have a lead the bullpen can't hold it. If we are down by one or 2 with a chance, the bullpen allows it to get blown open.

If we lose this it would mean in our last 22 home games we are 5-17. Think about that. That is a record usually reserved for a team that would be the worse in the league because you would think their road record would be about as bad. That is just hard to fathom.

Unfortunately I don't think you can count on much from Derek, he was certainly inconsistent before and he will probably never have the strength after the injury to his push leg. Hate to say it as well but if MP gets back to what he was it will be nice but it will be 18 months to 2 years probably and then who knows if we ever see the real potential he has come to fruition. Wont say it can't happen its just a lot to overcome

Many pitchers his age overcome that injury and pitch well.

Well, there is a positive- Beltre. Rios has been really good too. How many All Star Rangers you got this year? If I had to guess I would say 1 or 2. I think Yu will definitely be one but Beltre or Rios one will likely be picked for the bench.

This team has been really bad at home surprisingly, just not like the usual Rangers............oh wait its not. Hope for the fans that are still paying to attend that gets better at least at home

so was harrison. so was feliz. The fact is that you simply cant EXPECT them to be back. Everyone this offseason was like "matt and colby are bulldogs. They had ??? ERA and ???? WHIP and blah blah blah. But the fact of the matter is that they are hurt. You don't just sit out a year and come back and be back to normal, especially after surgery. Rarely do pitchers come back better. Josh Johnson is a good example of someone that came back better after surgery, even though it was only 2 or 3 seasons. I don't care if its their shoulder, back, or big toe. The fact is that they are sitting out. Not throwing. Not working on their mechanics. Out of their routine. It just doesnt happen very often. I kept saying over and over "I think we have an ABOVE AVERAGE rotation. Not good enough to win in the playoffs. Yu, Perez, and an injured colby, derek, and matt aren't good enough to win" I got BLASTED for it. People were like "harrison and colby will be fine. They're bulldogs." Its just being realistic to say that they probably won't be back to normal and that it may be smart to get a good, experienced, healthy #2 pitcher for the playoffs in case they don't come back healthy.

I know injuries are unpredictable. But its not hard to predict that someone whose had multiple back surgeries arent gonna be normal the season they get back.

I started looking at Rough Riders tickets last night, the tickets are really reasonable. Might go check out Gallo one of these days.

Well see, people are seeing things my way now... but in the offseason I would say stuff like that and people would argue all night about it haha. Now that its all coming to fruition people are agreeing with me. Not saying it was you, I'm just saying...

I am saying that about Holland because his injury is different than all those others. And Colby and Harrison had tough roads to overcome with the issues they have/had.

I thought Harrison would be fine, but it was late in the off-season and Santana was still out there. I wanted us to sign him. I didn't have many agree with me either.

Yeah, I was pretty concerned about Harry from the moment I heard he was going to have back surgery last year. I didn't have a lot of expectations for him this season and honestly even then thought his career could be in question. Holland, I think I just was hopeful but I also, at the time, thought we had the depth to weather the storm. I did think Colby would come back strong against all odds this season though- well much stronger than he has anyway. But that was more of a homer thing from loving Colby than being realistic. I mean that is a very serious surgery he is coming off of. I really thought Feliz would back up by now though and helping us shut down some games- was way off on that.

There are plenty of FA pitchers to revamp the rotation. Scherzer and Shields should be the focus. JD might have to make a splash to turn this thing around.
