The 1954 motion picture The Seven Samurai is one of my favorite films, and the 1960 American version The Magnificent Seven is a classic Western. This Fall comes the remake of The Magnificent Seven starring Denzel Washington:

I hope it's good.

The magnificent 7 was a classic because it was the Expendables of its day. It had an amazing cast of all the top action stars going.

This has Washington and Pratt.

It may be good, but I am thoroughly unimpressed so far.

The original M7 wasnt original. Not sure what your point is...

Original in Anglais if you are referring to the Japanese effort before it.

So that is my point. No need for a remake. It's been done, twice.

You're just being picky.

My point is that nothing is new or original in any form of story telling anymore. Heck, if you want to get super flexible, you can say that any story told today can be broken down to a Shakespeare play (not that he was original either).

I agree that all these remakes are overdone. But lack of originality is nothing new. And complaining about it is also not original and has already been done.

So sue me.....

I'd just like to see movies that aren't something I've seen before. Even if it's just a variation on a theme.

Don't mind sequels or prequels.

Hate remakes. Especially half assed ones.
