You can't get away with being fat, slow and unathletic in the NBA and a perimeter player along with a franchise player. Especially today. this isn't a church league of pickup games. The only dude that can get away with that was Larry Legend. But he was also a once in a 2000 lifetimes player. Dallas clearly saw it which is why they unloaded him.

Sure, 5 time all NBA in 6 years. Bird didn't do that, and he had the benefit of a college career to prepare him. Laughable take, but to be expected from you.

Well that was fun. JJ schemed up a great plan vs Jokic and the Nuggets really not very good defensively. More than 3 minutes of garbage time in a dominant win over the Nuggs.

I agree. Redick really did derive a really good strategy this evening and that was fun to watch. Onward we go to Tuesday against the Mavs in LA.

Lakers have really played well against the good teams of late, making those losses to the Jazz and Hornets all the more head-scratching. Complete lack of focus in those games.

Not shocking that they were the two games bracketing the all star break and against two teams that they angered at the trade deadline. Danny by getting him to help with the Luka trade unknowingly and the Hornets with the canceled trade.

Couple things from tonight’s game.

1) how in the world did they lose to the Jazz and Hornets but can beat the Nuggets?

2) I never understood all the trading Hachimura talk the past 2 seasons. The Lakers need him. Did you see his defense on Jolkic tonight? It allowed Hayes to stay out of foul trouble, and with the double teams helping, held Jokic to 2-7 shooting. Plus, he’s been great at 3 pt range the past 2 seasons as well.

Good win. 4 of the 5 starters had at least 21 points.

And Hayes and our other post defenders played well on Jokic.
