Well, there is improvement with the Lakers as the final tally has the Lakers losing by 12 instead of 24. Cleveland is def loaded and they will def be tough to beat coming out of the East,

Lakers zero stops down the stretch and Cavs ballooned the lead in 20 seconds. Defense is what dooms them

Several coaches have been hired and fired trying to get the Lakers to play consistent Defense. Frank Vogel was the most successful and got a Championship out of it even though it was a shortened season in the bubble and before some players started bitching-up a storm.

Looks as though Gab Vincent will be the next player to be dangled to be included in a package to get a back-up Center. This is a good choice to put out there and the Lakers should include Hood-Schifino, Wood and Vanderbilt and chill on the draft capital if possible.

James played tonight and so did Reddish but the Cavs clearly demonstrated to the Lakers what talent, good shooting, and consistent Defense can do for winning and losing.

I'd like to see Gabe to the Bulls for Carter and Craig, maybe include Rui for Vucevic (along with a first and/or 2nds)? Unless of course Utah and the Lakers can come to an agreement on Kessler, then keep Rui and move JHS/picks for Kessler or expand that with Rui if Utah wants to move another contract to get the deal done, Sexton or even Collins (Collins would require more salary which could prevent sending Gabe for my suggested Bulls package).

Transition defense specifically. AD and Lebron aren't going to consistently get back, so it's on the other guys. Having the others shooting corner 3s doesn't help, or having them crash for offensive boards from the corners.

JJ's dealing with the same dilemma as Ham did last year; chasing offensive rebounds or rotating back on defense.

Vogel might have stuck around had he not been petulant about Westbrook. That said, Rob got him fired really with that trade.
