One of the consequences of having LeBron James dictate your basketball team is this. Looks like Darvin Ham may have a case seeing that Redick hasn't accomplished much better results than Ham. Once again, Jeanie Buss has demonstrated that she is just as inept at running the Lakers than her brothers. This is an ongoing, quiet mess that could be remedied for the fans if the Buss Family would just sell the team outright.

Weird schedule for the Lakers. Two games in Sacramento: One tonight, the other Saturday night.

Good win last night. Didn't shoot the ball very well but 4 of 5 starters in double figures and Russell and Vincent got double digits in points off the bench.

Vincent made 4 of 5 treys, his offense starting to come around. Plus, his defense has been a nice change of pace for a lot of guys who don't like to play defense.

Yep, including Russell and James on the D front. Maybe Vincent's D example will infiltrate everyone else's D playing like Reaves and some of our crappy bench players. With one win, the Lakers jump from 10th to 7th in the standings. The tight Western Conference is evident.

Maybe they are getting it through their thick heads that to really be a contender in today's NBA, ya have to have a damn good offense and ya have to play defense. James of course, doesn't play defense nor does Reaves and Russell but last night's win may have been one of the better defensive games the Lakers have played this year. Let us see if it sticks.
