The odds of the Lakers doing a deal this week on or before the trade deadline are diminishing. There is predominant undercurrent amongst the FO and Jeannie that trading for a player just to do a trade is pretty useless at this point.

With Vanderbilt going down, Lakeshowlife is up to its usual scatterbrain approach suggesting four forwards the Lakers should trade for this year. Why, when we have Hachimura, Prince, and Hayes with both H-players not getting enough minutes as it is. Granted, Hachimura is a power forward but Hayes isn't getting enough minutes which is not a problem for Prince. It is worth a look especially if a trade can involve Vincent.

I also agree, DJ on trading AD and James. We could get a host of First Rounders in trades involving both and we could go with Wood and Hachimura at Center and Forward respectively the rest of this year.

Yes, but I was. Paul and Clutch Sports have already squelched rumors of a James trade and I doubt if the Lakers would trade either one at this time!

To do what though? Go back to a 3 superstar model that strips away any and all depth? Those 3 picks won't be able to compete with the Knicks, Thunder, Spurs, Jazz, etc. with their stockpiles.

If they can get the Murray trade done, get it done. Watching the Lakers unable to defend the Knicks' backcourt without doubling was frustrating. Pivot to Caruso or BBrown if needed. Wasting another year of Lebron can't be an option.

The Nets have lost their mind, overplaying their hand with their players in terms of trade demands. Going to be hard to get value from them other than maybe Dinwiddie (who seems to want out and they want to move), who hopefully would facilitate a 3 way Murray deal in exchange for DLo.

Lost by 40. That whole game was garbage time. Celtics starters played 30 min or less each.

JHS is getting minutes with South Bay. In 7 games, he's averaging 19 pts (on 45.2/43.8/75% shooting) with 5 assists and 3 rebounds per game. There are signs of improvement, he needs minutes.

20 years old and 6'5/215 vs 23 years old and 6'1/170. Easy decision.

Took out the Hornets with DRuss getting game-high 28. The Lakers have three-in-a-row wins going on! Next up, Denver at home, Thursday!
