For our hero Martin Brodeur?

I mean, if the lockout ends at its estimte length, a year plus, is Brodeur coming back or hangs them up?

If he hangs them up, its makes the cup loss that much more sad....

Well he said the last lockout helped him tremendously. I don't think he will be willing to admit to himself it's over until he goes in and gets absolutely destroyed. We'll see at least 1 more year out of Marty.

Yeah he really wants to hit 700 wins I'm sure so he will def be back. Shame if the lockouts didn't happen he might be going for 800

Estimated by players agents trying to show they are united....

I thought I read a while ago that the reason he pushed for a two year deal was because he was expecting there to be a lockout and he didn't want to only be able to play for a half season or so.

Very true. If he didn't tear his elbow he'd already be there, maybe going 800+.

Have to assume he lost prob 60-70 wins between the lockout and the injury.

I thought the same thing when i posted this thread... Had the last lockout not occur, Marty may have been looking at unreachable plateaus.

Marty also stated though that he thinks the lockout allowed him to play longer. He was able to rest up and fully heal his body (even if he didn't have any injuries then). Had he not had that year of rest maybe the wear and tear could have caught up with him earlier and he may have had more injuries or more severe injuries.
