Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Pretty cool premise, but how it ended up in a mansion for the duration of the movie was sort of a buzzkill. Felt like it could have been so much better, but not sure how they could have pulled it off elsewhere. Also did not care for the ending one bit. That was hilariously bad. I mean, c'mon... You really expect me to believe that armed forces wouldn't have blown them sonsabitches to smithereens? I know they captured one of the predators, but the T-rex at the zoo & the Raptor down in Cali (or Arizona?). Not buying it. They would have killed hundreds of people & forced their death even if politics tried to protect them.

Liked the indo-raptor concept. Didn't care for the climactic payoff though. Felt too forced (much like a lot of other things). Cool to see them throw in so many easter eggs too. Many of which pay some respects towards the original.

Overall it had a lot of problems but it was still fairly entertaining. 6/10

Mandy: 0.5/5 stars. If you want to see mindless fights with various weapons and Nic Cage semi-ham it up, this movie is for you. If you like intricate plots, well-developed characters, interesting thematic content, or humor; this movie is NOT for you.

Anyone have a good list of good 80's movies that I might not have seen? I've been in an 80's mood with music, so I think I'm going to try to go with some movies as well. So far I have five that I'm going to eventually check out that I've never seen:
1. The Lost Boys
2. The Breakfast Club
3. Cannonball Run
4. Road House
5. The Wraith

Wait...

Those are movies YOU NEVER SAW??? I understand if you never saw The Wraith, but the other 4 are total classics who the average person has seen AT LEAST 20 times each.

Here are a few other little-known movies from the 80s you may not have seen...

Empire Strikes Back
Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home
Rocky IV
Terminator 2
E.T.
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Batman
Return of the Jedi
Batman

I've seen all of those you listed except for Star Trek 4 (T2 was 91 I believe). I was never a fan of the original but loved TNG. Another on my list but it's in the late 70s is Meatballs.

ST4 is arguably the best of the franchise.

Just purchased a 7:2 receiver for my recroom.

So watched the entire Director's Cut set of LOTR. Incredible sound.

Will likely go to video store on Friday to see what I can find. The latest Jurassic maybe?

Sex Drive (2008)

Very underrated teen comedy. Seen it a few times before. American Pie meets Road Trip. Not the greatest cast, but still good comedy. I honestly don't understand why that Clark Duke kid gets all those alpha male type roles. It just doesn't work for me. He looks like a cabbage patch doll.

6.5/10

The Breakfast Club is very 80's especially with the music

If you are over the age of 20 and don't have most all of Breakfast Club memorized, we prolly can't be friends.
