Why, is that movie someone's favorite ? Like I said, I don't think there was anything particularly wrong with it and I don't feel that strongly one way or the other. I just wish it had covered a bit more ground. I'm not looking for any trouble in here. I get enough of that in the PF.
I’m just busting his balls. He’s a good guy, certainly no trouble.

I posted nearly the same exact review of that movie as you, and he acted a wee bit affronted.

Darkest Hour: 3/5 stars. Enjoyable enough throughout, but at the film’s conclusion I couldn’t help but think “So what?” I get that they wanted to focus on a very specific part of Churchill’s reign, but it ended up feeling a bit small.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri: 4.5/5 stars. This is one of the best movies of the last 10 years. Sam Rockwell and Frances McDormand gave the performances of their lives. It was a movie about anger and hatred and hurt. We would all be wise to contemplate about the movie.

???

The entire way the modern world geo-politically speaking works, could have been altered forever. Britain goes out early, and the US potentially never enters the war, axis wins....

And then....

So what?

But YOU posed the question, so what?

I'm saying it was one of the most pivotal moments in modern history.

Would it have made for better movie making if he'd made some of those speeches while under fire from Stuka divebombers? I guess.

But if you didn't get the 'so what?' out of that movie, maybe it's not the movie's fault?

Been meaning to comment... watch out, you are officially on @chf ‘s “I want to fuck up the ass” shit list.

I think that's a different movie list.

I was giving him a rough time about his historical knowledge, I thought the movie was good, but definitely not going to be everyone's cup o' tea.

I was busting you about WHY you didn't like it, not saying that you HAD to like it.

Batman vs Superman

5/10

Way too fucking long. I can’t watch 150 minutes of Ben Affleck just acting like a little bitch towards Superman.

Inherent Vice: 4/5 stars. What a great film. Fuck it, I'm making its own thread for it

I still think thats the product of the movie having a 'villain' problem. Half of the superhero movies coming out in the past 3 years have had that issue but this is the very first movie of think of with a villain problem.

Luther really, really sucks. Doomsday really, really sucks. The Batman v Superman stuff...doesnt make any sense so they just sort of end it.

Thats pretty much exactly what Id give it. I remember thinking the first half was better than the second half but I liked it.

Deadpool 2. Miles better than Deadpool 1. I would give it a solid 8/10 where the first movie I gave a 6/10. I may have to watch the first one again to see if I was being unfair because the second one was really fucking good!

Hereditary or Eighth Grade.

My guess is that we haven't seen the heavy hitters yet. Bad Times at El Royale has potential. Mary Queen of Scots would be a mortal lock if it wasn't already getting buzz for being historically inaccurate.

I haven't seen either, but being perfectly honest, I haven't made it to nearly as many movies this year compared to years past. I googled some opinions on this and I saw Black Panther make the list on a few sites... I find that surprising. I liked Black Panther, but it is no best picture in my opinion.

Neither of those movies have a chance imo.

Most if not all the noms are still to be released

I'd never seen the first one.

But the second one almost made me pee a couple of times. Very well written from a comedic standpoint...wear a diaper when you go...and get really baked before you go.

My only issue with Deadpool 2 is that its not all that awesome with repeat viewings. Or if you had anyone spoil it.

I do think its better than the first one but that ending sure does drag.

Yeah I am looking forward to Bad Times at the El Royale as well as First Man. Still want to see Blindspotting too, but no theaters near me have it.

First Man has already won it. It appropriately says “fuck you” to the right people. Voters LOVE that.

Peppermint. Sydney Bristow was a great character back in the day. Gardner is back in action and takes no prisoners. I love a good revenge movie. I very much enjoyed it. 7.5/10

Jennifer is still sexy.

Never had watched Alias prior to being with my wife. Back in college when we first started dating she got me into it. Pretty damn good show! We've been looking forward to watching Peppermint. Just been waiting for an HD pirate to hit the web since we are cheap asses lol.
