The Kings do something right for a change

Here are the Sacramento Kings' new, old-school-flavored logos

The new logos look legit. The retro inspired look works really well.

Not sure if the jerseys are good though. That one tweet doesn't have the full jersey but from it shows, it looks pretty poor. It's just "SAC" across the chest. That's just dumb

I feel like it's hard to mess up a logo when you are the 'Kings'. Like cmon.

I'm a fan of the logos, especially the Lionball. I'll wait until I see the full jerseys before deciding how I feel about them. Now if the Kings can make some good decisions with the TEAM that will be representing those logos or the COACH and/or GM that is putting the team together, then I can be excited about more than just a team logo.

Exactly what I was thinking. Not so good when your best decision is recent years is revamping the team logo.

I think hiring Ewing would be a good thing for the Kings.

Maybe Cousins would be better served having a Coach that understands what it takes to be a dominant big man in the NBA.

Patrick has been a passed over assistant for awhile. So, I hope someone gives him a chance.

If not Ewing, maybe McHale?

Mixed feelings on this. I'd be happy that Ewing finally gets a shot after being an assistant so long and not even getting interviews. On the other hand, its the worst job in the league. If he fails (and there's a good chance he does with that management situation), he'll likely never be a HC again. He's in a tough spot.

Like @wildturkey mentioned with Ewing, he can't afford to get canned because his top player doesn't respect him.

If it happens again, back to back, he'd be done.

And let's be honest, it's probable with DMC.

I don't know what to root for, any option seems like it'll end the same way. Ewing, McHale, Blatt, etc all can be hired and talk about turning it around and building around Cousins but then 1 year or less later "Breaking News: Kings fire head coach". Vivek wants Warriors 2.0 and it's not gonna happen, Vlade wants to do what he can to make them playoff caliber but doesn't have a lot of GM experience, and the players badly want to be winners but between flawed rosters, inconsistent efforts given from the superstar down, and turmoil throughout the organization it hasn't happened. Maybe going to a new arena and having the new logos can be the start of a Kings turnaround, but as always I'm not holding my breath.
