Wassup with the defenseless player rule? How in the hell was this unnecessary roughness? Thats how you play football. Too bad the game has become softer so most housewives can play the game. Damn shame!!

Was a clean block. Very very disappointed that it was called for UR. I certainly wish it hadn't been our player that took the hit, but it violates no rules whatsoever.

Can you imagine the public outcry if that rule had been in effect?

The problem is not even the rule itself, but how subjective they are making it. There isn't a clear enough definition of the rule.

That was a textbook block. It's not KB's fault the kid is blind as a bat.

Yeah, this one would have gotten Goodwin sat for probably several games, and I didn't think it was that severe a hit. He hit the guy straight on, it wasn't even from the side. HOW the DB didn't see him is a mystery to me, he ran right into the block.

It's only a matter of time until like 4 players per game have their seasons ended due to horrific knee injuries from the low hits they're trying force.

I think they are trying to get things into pushing contests and they are picking at it little by little.

For instance Kenny Bell should have just pushed that defender with outsretched arms instead of putting a shoulder into him like he did.

Everybody will be forced to arm tackle (horrible technique) and hope the RB doesn't lower his helmet/shoulder pads on you.

I think you're right, but then they will start calling more holds because blockers will grab the other guys jersey to "push" him away from the ball carrier....
