LOL... Cuban is not happy and he's outing Broussard...
Dear Mavs Fans. There will be a time when I detail everything I know regarding the last 48 hours. I don't think the time is right to say anything beyond the facts that he never responded to me at all yesterday. Not once. To this minute I have not heard anything from him since Tuesday night. More importantly, I specifically told Wes that I would not hold him to his commitment if he wanted to go elsewhere. I can't print his exact response, but suffice it to say he is excited to play for our Mavs
If Jordan opts for the Clippers, this will almost be as bad as Billy Donovan and the Magic.
What Carlos Boozer did to the Cavs was the worse though.
I'm about as sympathetic towards a players right to make their own FA decision on their own timeline as you can possibly be... but there's just no way to defend the way DeAndre Jordan handled this situation.
If he had called Cuban yesterday and said "I'm sorry, but I changed my mind. I'm staying in LA, the decision is done, there's nothing to meet about." .... I'd probably be on here defending him. But to just go completely silent... basically go into hiding... then sign the Clippers contract without ever talking to the team he verbally committed to... is pathetic.
This is the most pathetic embarassment ever for professionals.
Somehow the Clippers have mixed horrific sportsmanship with comedy gold....and likely forever screwed themselves with all the other owners.
It probably feels like Christmas and a Birthday wrapped up together for Laker fans.
They might as well delete all the other 29 front office telephone numbers from the Clippers contact list.
Aint no other team answering their calls for years....
It seems like the Cavs were the most hated team and everyone would be out to get them. We have good news, everyone forgot about them. It's "Kill the Clippers" time
Cavs/Clippers finals. I think most would root for a sinkhole to open up under the court and just swallow everybody.

and maybe this is not over!!
DeAndre Jordan -- Clippers May Have Violated Law By Signing Superstar | TMZ.com
I haven't read the link, but the only thing I can think of right now is tortious interference.
promissory estoppel
Promissory estoppel is a common law doctrine used by courts to enforce promises that have been made and subsequently relied upon. Most of the time, contract law dictates the terms of how promises should be enforced. Promissory estoppel usually comes into play when there is no formal contract, but the parties involved have nevertheless acted as if there was one. Courts use the doctrine in these circumstances to impose a contract on the agreement, usually in the interest of fairness.
Good point, but I don't think that promissory estoppel is a cause of action by itself. The cause of action against DeAndre would be breach of contract. Against the Clips, the only thing I can think of is tortious interference. If they did sue DeAndre, the only thing that the Mavs could get is money damages. No court would order specific performance (i.e., that Jordan would have to play for the Mavs). I wonder if Cuban is even interested in money damages.
but if the court determines there was a contract in some way that would prohibit the Clippers from signing him. Would it not?
