I like Cuban and feel bad for him. They finally have the free agency they have been trying to have since they won it. And dj royally fucks him.

This really wasn't about money for DJ. Opted for the 4 yr deal with LAC instead of 5 yrs which means he's only getting 3 mil more than he would have gotten with Dallas

Now all the Clippers have to do is get Adam Silver to ban Hack-a-Shaq and they will really be the big winners.

I know who will be fighting to stop any changes to prevent hack-a-shaq, and I bet Cuban just got some allies in that fight.

Losing DJ isn't the issue. The problem is that there was an agreement and so Dallas let Tyson walk and didn't pursue any other options. Then when everyone who could be a replacement is already accounted for, DJ yanks the rug out.

He's a lowlife piece of shit. He screwed the entire organization. And for what? So he could get his ass kissed and stroke his ego? Fuck him.

I hope we go after Kanter. We've outscored teams before. And when the Mav's play the Clippers, all 7 guys on the bench out to foul out from starting the hack a shaq in the 1st quarter. The Mavs would beat the Clips 102-6 if they followed that strategy

And organize everyone in unison shouting the Nelson "HA HA" whenever he shoots a FT and misses. By the second trip to the FT line he will be on the floor crying, since he apparently has the self esteem of a dung beetle.

So much for a "man's" word, then again, we're not talking about a man here.

I'm about as sympathetic towards a players right to make their own FA decision on their own timeline as you can possibly be... but there's just no way to defend the way DeAndre Jordan handled this situation.

If he had called Cuban yesterday and said "I'm sorry, but I changed my mind. I'm staying in LA, the decision is done, there's nothing to meet about." .... I'd probably be on here defending him. But to just go completely silent... basically go into hiding... then sign the Clippers contract without ever talking to the team he verbally committed to... is pathetic.

The league is going to have to figure something out. Any team can get screwed over like this. As Ford said, the Mavs based their plans on having him here. If they didn't have an agreement I'm sure they wouldn't have let Tyson Chandler go.

I definitely don't think the Clippers planed this... BUT in the future Teams could use the moratorium and "Verbal agreements" to intentionally screw rival teams.

It is just insane that it is set up so that teams can get screwed like this. Why bother with a moratorium? Why not just open up free agency and have players sign right away. Then Jordan would have been under contract already.

Things got weird in the closing hours as a contingent of Clippers, including owner Steve Ballmer, coach Doc Rivers, and players Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and Paul Pierce decided they were not going to leave Jordan's home until his new contract was signed at 12:01 a.m eastern, according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.

So he was held hostage in his own home. Nice!!
