I'm moving the Nets up by 6 places due to the highly promising performance of the 20y.o. rookie Nicolas Claxton who has shown in recent games that he may progress to be a player that can help the Nets retaining their ability to contend in the near future especially since he plays in a position (PF/sbC) where there is an obvious "hole" in the Nets roster...

Additionally, if Claxton will prove as promising as he seems capable of, the Nets can have a deep financial breather by dumping Prince's contract without having any significant impact in the roster's performance.

Future power rankings (revised):

1. The Boston Celtics: (Future potential: As bright as the sun)

2. Miami Heat: (Future potential: As bright as the sun)

3.The Milwaukee Bucks: (Future potential: As bright as the sun)

4. Memphis Grizzlies: (Future potential: As bright as the sun)

5. Detroit Pistons: (Future potential: Great)

6. Dallas Mavericks: (Future potential: Great)

7. Utah Jazz: (Future potential: Great)

8. OKC Thunder: (Future potential: Great)

9. Charlotte Hornets: (Future potential: Great)

10. New Orleans Pelicans: (Future potential: Great)

11. The Los Angeles Clippers: (Future potential: Possible to be good, but questionable...)

12. Minnesota Timberwolves: (Future potential: Possible to be good, but questionable...)

I think after the Grizzlies have climbed up the ladder to get a seed in the playoff run they should be in the O/P instead of the Blazers and then among the "bright future potential" teams.

The future potential power rankings looking to the next decade starting from next season and until 2030 (based on today's info and not counting for injuries) should then form like this if one combines the lot of the teams:

1. Dallas Mavericks
2. Los Angeles Clippers
3. Boston Celtics
4. Miami Heat
5. Milwaukee Bucks
6. Memphis Grizzlies
7. Utah Jazz
8. OKC Thunder
9. Charlotte Hornets
10. Minnesota Timberwolves
11. Golden State Warriors
12. Washington Wizards
13. Detroit Pistons
14. New Orleans Pelicans
15. Chicago Bulls
16. Toronto Raptors
17. Indiana Pacers
18. Orlando Magic
19. Denver Nuggets
20. Atlanta Hawks
21. Cleveland Cavaliers
22. Sacramento Kings
23. Los Angeles Lakers
24. Houston Rockets
25. Philadelphia 76ers
26. Phoenix Suns
27. New York Knicks
28. Portland Trail Blazers
29. Brooklyn Nets
30. San Antonio Spurs

So in Buckyland, the Nets had the 2nd worst future ranking in the NBA 10 days ago. Now they are 17th? Because one guy had 2 good shooting games?

I have to give Buckyboy some credit. He realized that if you want responses you had write crazy shit, which is his specialty. So here we are 265 posts later and he's doubled down on the crazy.

Well done, Bucko.

The best thing we can do is ignore every post he starts. No replies at all by anyone, let him talk to himself and it will drive him absolutely bonkers. A guy with his narcissistic personality will not be able to handle no one listening or giving him the attention he craves.

You obviously missed the previous advancement of the NETs, which was because they don't pay the lux tax this season (a site had it wrong)... It makes the hell of a difference, because they can go into the lux tax next season and for three continuous seasons, but can avoid the repeaters tax afterwards because it coincides with KD and Kyrie expiring...

It doesn't make a hell of difference because teams always adjust their rosters based on the success of the team.

I realize that I might as well be talking to a rock but try and let this sink in.

Every single team measures their financial commitment relative to the success of the team. If a team wins a title this year, that team is far more likely to be willing to pay a huge luxury tax burden. Furthermore, as far as the repeater tax, that is rarely a concern for teams unless they make a huge financial blunder like the Thunder did with Carmelo.

The repeater tax is designed to prevent clubs from perpetually being in the luxury tax region but also allows teams to to ride a hot run for a few seasons ala the Warriors. Look at the Warriors. They may wind up paying a repeater tax next season but only if they are able to build a viable contender from what they have, which will be very difficult. Otherwise they will shed contracts and get under the repeater tax.

So when you project out that the Nets or the Lakers or the Sixers or whomever will be in luxury tax hell in 4 years, you are ignoring that most of their current contracts will expire before that is a problem for any of those teams.

Only if you ignore how every basketball team operates.

The Heat have been in supposed cap hell for years. Somehow they have persevered.

He's already bonkers and, based on the number of folks he has on ignore, talking to himself doesn't seem to bother him.

Hell, it's the only way he can get anyone to agree with him.

Charlotte Hornets also earned their advancement to the "future power standings" next to the New Orleans Pelicans with Zion, after 3 players out of their extremely talented youth made it to be called in the "future stars" game on Devonte' Graham, P.J. Washington and Miles Bridges...

LOL... I still remember a fucked up mind idiot in this forum claiming "the Hornets have no future 'cause they have nobody worth watching in their roster" I guess twisted and fucked up minds are what this site worths to have as posters after the NBA officially admited and promoted which the future stars actually are...

Therefore the NBA future power rankings should look something like this:

5. New Orleans Pelicans: (Future potential: As bright as the sun)

9. Utah Jazz: (Future potential: Great)

10. OKC Thunder: (Future potential: Great)

11. The Los Angeles Clippers: (Future potential: Possible to be good, but questionable...)

12. Minnesota Timberwolves: (Future potential: Possible to be good, but questionable...)

13. Golden State Warriors: (Future potential: Uncertain but possible to be good)

14. The Toronto Raptors: (Future potential: Uncertain but possible to be good)

15. The Washington Wizards: (Future potential: Uncertain but possible to be good)

16. The Indiana Pacers: (Future potential: Uncertain but possible to be good)

17. Brooklyn Nets: (Future potential: Uncertain but possible to be good)

25. The Houston Rockets: (Future potential: Poor)

26. Philadelphia 76ers: (Future potential: Cloudy)

27. Phoenix Suns: (Future potential: Cloudy):

Yeah, Ben Simmons is 23, Embiid is 25 but the Sixers' future is "cloudy" and 5th worst in the NBA

Only a fuckhead idiot like you can't see that the Sixers are blowing the team up after they'll be out in the 1st or 2nd round (best case scenario but by far less possible) this year... Their financials are the worst in the league next to going nowhere ...dickhead!

The web is full of rumors for Simmons being traded already!
(although not happening this season they will desperately try to survive the inevitable idiots like you only can't see coming)
