If they have the resources to resign Perez and add an additional legit pitcher through FA or Trade I think they’re going to do it.
I see Dunning as the 4th starter almost no matter what.
Otto and Ragans, I envision they’re somewhat auditioning for the 5th spot next year. Over the next 8 weeks and spring training
So, no matter how good they are you don't think it makes any difference for one of Ragans or Otto? I guess that goes for Owen White as well.

I don’t believe Ragans and Otto will both be in the rotation next year. Just one or the other.
I think it matters a lot between the two on which one will end up in the rotation though.
Owen White should be ready soon.. it would be nice to have him as an option to call up next year in case of injuries and or underperformance. Maybe a good way to limit his work load too. I definitely envision White pitching about 80-90 innings in MLB between June-Sept.

I think chances are that at least one of them will falter. However. If they both do so well that one less trade or FA signing is necessary, I wouldn't be disappointed in the least.

Winn late 2023
White mid 2023
Leiter mid 2024
Garcia late 2023
Acker late 2023
Porter mid 2025
Rocker- Early-Mid 2024

Almost have too many lol
Vanasco and Roby could easily stand out next year too and get right back in this conversation.
Mitch Bratt could be here in 2024-25 as well
So you have all of these guys pitching in the rotation at some point next year?

Gray
FA signee
Perez or second FA signee
Dunning
Ragans
White
Otto
Winn
Garcia
Acker

Eh.. maybe I’m a little overzealous on Garcia and Acker making their debuts next year..
I do think they will both rocket up through the minors and the “top 30” list during next year though.

personally, i think it is Perez or another FA signee not both so i expect to see Dunning and 2 other prospects from Otto, Ragans, Winn, White, Leiter and possibly Rucker, etc (including maybe even Garcia & Acker). or maybe at some point during 2023 maybe all of them

okay a question for the board: 55 games left, and we only need 12 wins to match last year's win total. what would be a good final win total to make the season a win? personally, i think it would be a minimum of 22 which would give us a 70-92 record for the season

I would like to see them play just a bit above .500 the rest of the way just because I’m optimistic and they should have figured out who needs to be where by now.
I’ll go with 76-86 or better

If they finished with at least 72 wins it would be an accomplishment, IMO.

I have seen three different articles this weekend that were written about Woodward and his job security.

I would like to see how he does with a better team. We have a habit of wanting to get rid of people. I say give him a chance.

Lol. And then if they have a better record the prevailing thought will be, "if the team is winning, why make a change?" Kinda like with Wash.
