Looks like his next start is likely against the Mariners. I've noticed in starts where Dane has the potential to get to a sub-4.00 ERA he usually struggles.
Hopefully he dominates the Mariners.

Gallo missed FBs down middle frequently and of course the sliders away were tough but he sure got his walks

From what I see it is usually low averages and swing for the fences. The best hitters are Betts, Freeman and Trea Turner. Guys brought in.

Remember how hot he was here after they cut back on the stuff that benefited spin rates. He was hitting pretty good the Ranger way at that point.

He wasn't really on my radar, but I did mention once that if we traded Heim, that we had two guys catching at AAA who were hitting very well and one of them could be a backup catcher. Viloria was one of them. One or two thought we would suffer greatly at backup catcher if we didn't keep both Heim and Huff.

Of course, I never expected him to do this well. I just thought he would be an okay backup.

Hearn comes across to me like he was trying to hard as a starter but as a reliever he seems a little ticked he that he has to do it but a lot more self assured like ok I got this

He has a good arm so a two inning close role along with Hernandez fills a gap
