And the part about cutting Chad Kelly lose... He will get a chance to earn a spot. We won't just cut him lose because of drafting a QB. He was a 7th round pick he is surely going to get a look this camp to see what he can do.

I don't see us going into camp with Os, pick and Lynch.

If we don't get Cousins we draft a young QB for sure in my book.
Our scenarons (and I don't expect to get Cousins is 1 of 2 IMO)

1- Cousins, Lynch, Kelly
2- Vet QB, Pick, Lynch/Kelly

There is no way we just cut Kelly due to drafting a young QB. We drafted him, stored him on IR for a reason. As a JR he played like a first/second round pick as a SR he dropped a bit, showed off field baggage and got hurt. The talent is there and at worst he has PS eligibility. I might be higher than most on Kelly but NO WAY we just cut him due to drafting a young QB without giving him a look in camp. He's on our PS worst case scenario next year...

Quit thinking like I do right now! Please.

His point is he won the starting QB by default. We did a terrible job securing that position.

It's never good when you come off a SB win and a 7th rd QB who has never played a snap ends up your starting QB by default. Siemian wasn't even impressive in college.

Look everyone at DC being a bonafide child ..

I gave him a BS rating for pulling his agreement out of his ass ...So he goes back days(he seen those post a lot of times before ) from what I stated and BS me . what a thin skinned maneuver.. I asked him to prove and he flops out names like as if he don't give a shit but a call me Nuts nope that there is pure childish .

I put up the truth .Stats don't lie .

And DC .....................I guess you dont watch long highlights on utube I do if I am wanting yest of whats up . Stop acting like you can tell me how I should think ! You have been a rather smart ass to me . I over looked it twice up above . I use to think you were my friend .

I liked the performance of the Richmond Kid in the Senior Bowl - later round pick. Plays well under pressure - every thing else is coachable.

Kyle Laueletta.

Actually pretty darn good QB this year from top picks to middle to late round guys.

Pretty deep QB draft. Not just top heavy.

At this point im torn about what i want us to do. Not thrilled about Cousins, not thrilled about the rumors we love Mayfield either.

I think if they draft a QB at #5 overall then he's the starter and that's pretty much it. I also think that they might try cutting Kelly to stash him on the Practice Squad. So, I could see...

1) #1 Cousins, #2 Lynch, #3/PS Kelly
2) #1 Draftee, #2 Lynch, #3/PS Kelly

And, what I think would be a long shot...

3) #1 Draftee, #2 Vet FA, #3 Lynch, PS Kelly

With QB's you have to have the right mix/combo of potential and experience. Maybe this is the year that Lynch gets it but just based on what I've seen (even though Lynch looked a little better at the very end of last season) you need to have a 'just a guy' at QB to put in in case the rookie crashes and burns during a game - and Lynch isn't that guy. But what value can they get out of him on the roster, really?

Fair enough. I just don't see us not signing another vet QB somehow this offseason if we go QB at #5.

Need someone for pick #5 to learn behind if we don't go the cousins gap. A stop gap so to speak for him to learn behind at the very least a vet to compete with him. Never a good thing just to give a first rd pick a starting job the day he is drafted (although pretty common nowadays)

There are a enough vet QB FA's that will be available this year to sign to a decent enough contract and not invest a lot of long term money in if we go the QB route at #5...

Worst case is we have a good vet and a rookie who is ready to roll right away. Great problem to have at the QB spot.

I've heard different scenarios about addressing the O-line at number 5, bringing in a veteran and getting a skill player at number 5, blah, blah, blah.

This is it, Denver Broncos. We don't pick this high very often and the QB class looks pretty damn good to me. Go get our franchise QB at 5 or trade up and get the guy that you believe in. Start him from day 1, fully commit, build a scheme around him, add players that compliment him and never look back. Period. I'm okay going through some bumps and bruises along the way if it leads to consistent glory in the end. Go Broncos!
