Jari Kurri

Kurri is a definite "no", he definitely started after Gordie retired. Stastny missed him by a year as well I believe. Not sure about Savard.

Yeah, I was wrong about those three, they all just missed by a year.

I am kind of curious about what the "best" roster is though. Bobby Smith would certainly be on it, but I have a feeling that there'd be tough competition for the spots. Finding 2 goalies seems like the toughest part. We can even use Chris Nilan in the "enforcer" spot hahaha.

Edit: Mike Liut fits, is there anyone better that I'm forgetting? Reggie Lemelin? We have two that aren't awful now at least, let me think and search and see if there's anyone better.

33 power-play goals against on home ice this season in 71 kills. 53% . Incredible, might never be repeated.

Edmonton, of course

Well, that's what happens when you so starved for offense that you put McDavid out there killing penalties. It's funny, he doesn't appear to be as fast trying to block shots from the point as he is when he's carrying the puck through the neutral zone.

I'm actually all for skill players killing penalties. They're usually your best possession players at 5v5, chances are they'll be better at getting the puck back at 4v5 too.

no, that's what happens when your 5v5 defense inspires coffee table books.

He played the final six minutes of the third period and all of overtime without facing a shot from the Jets as well. I know, doesn't sound possible with a Randy Carlyle team but I saw it happen.
