Still one of my favorites...that and the Raiders top 6 until week 16
Don’t forget just within the past few weeks Eagles we’re going to the nfc championship. That and Travis fulgham all pro, he’s had like 7 catches since then

its a PROFESSIONAL sport. I didn’t think you’d get that distinction.

and we continually see "professional" teams rest or sit out players all year round. we see individuals take personal leave or mental breaks. did vince carter make a mockery of the NBA by attending his graduation in the morning, then playing in the afternoon?

if sudfeld doesn't fumble and the eagles go on to score a TD and win, no one cares. but since he didn't, it's a mockery. K.

Are we sure the NFL didn't make fools of all of us by putting 2 teams from the worst division in football in prime time for final game of the regular season. Maybe the league was mocking us?

As a Washington fan I was happy with the move. Everyone knew Hurt gave them the best chance to win, they already knew what they had in Sudfeld as he's been in the league for years. Hurts was bad to start the half but his threat to run could have made the difference.

But fuck Giants. Mara's role in that salary cap penalty for contracts in an uncapped year that had been approved by the league has not been forgotten in Washington and it never will be. So now they are stuck with Daniel Jones, good luck with that.

why would the eagles “rest” players during last nights game? What were they “resting” them for? They’ve got several months of rest right now.

Big deal. So, they get to play one more game, then Brady will see to it that it’s their last for this season.

They didn’t “owe” the Giants anything of course, so that angle is ridiculous

but Eagles players looking baffled on the sidelines, players tweeting out all night they would never play for an organization with such a loser mentality

time will tell how much this move haunts a pretty shitty Eagles team with a bleak looking future

winning the game was meaningless to them, so it's their right to choose how to play it. they were competitive for the entire game and attempted to win it in the end, regardless of their QB choice.

exactly. This isn’t about the giants. Those that continually try to make it about the giants are intentionally sidestepping the real issue (or they’re just stupid).

This is about how professionals conduct themselves. The Eagles last night showed that they lacked professionalism

This is why you will never understand the point. This is why you will be destined to defend an unprofessional organization like the eagles.

He literally went out of his way to lose the game, and I’ve never seen that before

if he announced early in the week he would start Sudfeld and get a look at young guys in that game, that’s fine, happens all the time in Week 17

but once he realized that was a winnable football game, he literally made every possible move to assure a loss. From passing on a game tying FG, to inserting a QB that has no right on an NFL roster, and leaving him out there while he was so obviously lost and overwhelmed

it was pretty disgusting

Win more fing games and earn your way into the post season. Don't cry about it because you didn't get in because a team didn't win to get you in. Don't put it on a situation like that to get you into the post season. You don't deserve to get into it based on that

the eagles organization is a joke. You summed it up very well. I too watched a professional football team literally not care if they won the game. Did you see Hurts on the sidelines after he was taken out of the game? He was all smiles. He was acting like they were up by three TDs.

much like you're missing the point a professional organization doesn't give a shit about dbldwn711's opinion on sportshoopla's forum. :noidea:

the eagles played a tight, competitive game. they will draft 3 spots higher. and outside of a few obscure comments next season when the teams meet up, playing sudfeld for a quarter will be completely forgotten. and not a shit will be given.

besides, i'm not sure why a pats fan has much to say. next thing you know, astros' fans will be chiming in.

Sudfeld has to pissed more than anyone, he was better off holding a clipboard......Now they showcased a guy that will be a Walmart greeter shortly......He probably ends up in Canada with Hank Kingsley......

Lol
Good point, he is a Free Agent, and that’s now like the only tape teams have on him

it’s like posting the worst possible picture you can find of yourself on a dating site

If this game was played at 1:00 or 4:00 nobody would say much... But becasue it was prime time football, and we all watched it, we all have opinions... not to mention last game of the NFL regular season should not put a bad taste in our mouths... this did...
